Torn MCL

Torn MCL

Postby emplay on Mon Feb 02, 2009 12:59 pm

Hey all,

Here’s my article on the Andrew Bynum situation:

Lakers: Bynum Out 8-12 Weeks, MCL Tear
http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=11413

Obviously disappointing but as far as knee injuries go – this is on the “better” side of things – certainly not nearly as complex as last year’s knee dislocation.

Thanks

Eric

this would not necessarily be bad news yet. Depending on the grade of the tear, it could be only a couple weeks before he's back.

8-12 weeks,

which means,

he will be back april or May, if everything goes ok.

So playoffs start after april, May something, with means, bynum will be back for the playoffs, idk ifhe will be healthy, but he will be back!!

I feel bad for Drew "Bill Walton" Bynum. There's some bad luck with those knees.

He's gone for the season. Coming back in May means absolutely nothing. He won't be able to contribute and he'll just hinder the offense.

This is total BS. What the hell did the Lakers do to deserve this?

Bynum's DONE for this season. He will NOT be back for the playoff run no matter how deep the squad gets. This sucks BIG TIME.

- A minor, or grade 1, MCL tear can take from a few days to a week and a half to heal sufficiently for you to return to normal activities, including sports.

-A grade 2 tear can take from two to four weeks to heal.

-A grade 3 tear usually takes from four to eight weeks to heal, unless it is associated with damage to the ACL, in which case the recovery time may be longer.

so which one is it?
