Winner: Boston

Dark days are setting over the city of Los Angeles. Now, i am not trying to get people down, but just think about it. I just read a post from Lakers1 about what Mitch might be planning. If Mitch is planning to wait an entire year to get JO, then Kobe will leave.  Let’s face it. The old Celtic rivals are sticking it to the Lakers, and sticking it hard. Boston’s GM wouldn’t trade us Al Jefferson, McHale sent Garnett to our rivals, and Larry Bird decided to refuse trading JO to us after KG went to the Celtics. It’s as if it was a conspiracy all along so the Celtics could win a couple more championships and even out the 80’s feud which the Lakers won 5 titles, while the Celtics won only 3, and extend their titles from 16 to at least 18 or more titles, while the Lakers are stuck with 14. If Kobe leaves L.A., then i hate to say this and this hurts me dearly, but we really shouldn’t care. Players would do ANYTHING to be a Laker, and if he wants to leave, fine. Why should we stress over one guy who makes almost 20 million a year while we buy his merchandise, tickets, watch games and get frustrated whenever the Lakers lose. Basketball is basketball. We watch it for the game. It would be nice to win another champonship, but it just doesn’t look that way with the Spurs, Mavericks, Suns, Trail Blazers, Supersonics, and the Warriors. Now I realize that the Lakers are doomed. We should have made that Dallas deal back in 2004, well the past is the past. People make mistakes (as much as Mitch makes mistakes i don’t know…). So let’s have fun watching the Lakers, however the new roster will look like, with or without Kobe, and not worry if we lose. I love the Lakers and I always will. I feel like such a hypocrite after my last 2 posts. Now i realize the truth. In the end, the Boston Celtics win, and the Los Angeles Lakers… lose.
