The next best duo in the NBA are two players who don't even play on the same team, Paul and Ellis.

Either Paul or Lee is going to win the MVP, I'm thinking Paul.

Just letting you know. I"m 99% sure they were playing on those soft college rims. It's easier to make shots on the soft rims than the hard regulation rims the NBA usees.

Yeah, that was sick. I bet the Hornets GM and the Warriors GM were simultaneously thinking the same thing, wow I wish we had (Paul/Ellis) on our team.

Yeah it sounded like they were soft rims from the noise they made on a miss.

Well deserved. Would have liked to see a co-MVP with Paul, sick night for him as well. But no real complaints.

In other news, Kenny smith just beat Miller time in the three point shootout on inside the NBA.

Drew was solid. Hit a left and right jump hook on a post iso. Also had a nice face up jumper (loved the form on that one BTW). Was fouled inside - hit 1 of 2 FT's. Used the same fake left go right move he had on Shaq but instead of dunking he tried to lay it in and miss. Had a few nice passes - 1 a fullcourt pass that was spot on to Paul. 2 others from a backcut while he was posting up.

Good stuff. I liked it. You can't really expect him to be an active shotblocker in this sort of contest.

Farmar was good too . a bit TO prone .. the one thing I noticed - the gap between Paul/Williams and Farmar is quite a bit. A gap between Bogut and Bynum is hard to determine .. if there even is one (I think that's more a credit to Paul/Williams than it is Drew)

Considering their competition, that game might be as ugly as tonight's. But the rooks with the W.

Fun game, nice to see Bynum and Farmar out there. Bynum wasn't really a factor, but he made some nice shots. Farmar was running the point for the rookies most of the game though, that was cool to see, 'cept they got blown out mhihi . Monta Ellis was the best thing about the game to me, his dunks were sick, David Lee was great too, and Chris Paul looked like superstar among boys, he controled the whole game and made it look like he was barely trying.

Yeah I pretty much agree. I expected Bynum to come away with a few more rebounds, but that's about it. That full court heave was dead on. It'd be nice to see that every once in awhile with the Lakers.

Farmar's stroke was pretty much on the money. But Paul knew everything he was going to do, half an hour before he did it. It's really amazing how much better Paul is than everyone else out there. I think Paul stole the ball from him 4 times (all 4 of Farmar's TOs).

Paul could have dominated that game in his sleep. His basketball IQ, court awareness, handles, passing ability...it still puts me in awe. He and Ellis really had some amazing plays together.
