Let these young boys Ariza and Bynum play. Waiting for players to be a 100 percent is like expecting a super model to move in next door and be your sex slave. It will never happen. When the foot gets better an ankle will get hurt.
We need these boys. |

If Ariza is geting another openion from an LA doc then he is missing game 4. The earliest hes back is game 5 and thats if he is cleared by the LA doc.
I have a feeling he wont, but here is for a green light. This team sure can use some D _________________ "I wasn't sure I could get up for that dunk...I felt like Luke Walton" - Kobe

| I guess he'd be playing in the WCF. he might be physically ready at game 5, but he hasn't had enough run-throughs with our current lineup, so he'd need some practice time and rust-shaking before he plays in actual games. game 5 is too important, phil can't risk Ariza. |

Ariza got a second opinion on his foot Friday, which led the Lakers to seek a third opinion as a sort of tiebreaker.
There's no date yet scheduled for the exam.
"He got a second opinion [Friday] and we're going to sit down and discuss it a little bit," Jackson said. "It's optimistic. . . . There's been some suggestion that perhaps this is as good as it's going to heal and perhaps he doesn't have to be as cautious as it was suggested before," Jackson said.
"So that prompts a third opinion to balance it out. I think that's important because this is a territory of his anatomy that you just don't put a screw in and

it heals itself. We're trying to be really cautious because he is a young guy." |

I can understand knees...But a broken foot? All of my broken bones have healed in two months tops.
Regarding broken bones, just let the kid decide when to play when it's out of it's cast/boot. I forget, when did he get the boot off? _________________

This is frustrating. I was geeked cause I thought he would be suited up for Friday's game. Then the uncertainty continues. I'll just conclude he's not coming back this post season.
With Bynum, with Ariza = Guaranteed NBA Championship
With Bynum, no Ariza = NBA Championship
No Bynum, with Ariza = NBA Championship

a while ago. he has been practicing, but the thing is that there is a big difference between being able to run and jump, which he can do, and playing a full game where people are likely to come down on your foot again. _________________

| Honestly, I'm a little worried that if he does come back he could be rusty and really mess up the ridiculous rhythm we have on offense right now. Sure he's a good defender and hustle guy, but with the way Luke is playing right now and our rotations are working so well I wouldn't be in a hurry to bring him back either. |
But Luke can't play a full 48 nor should he. Vlad is playing like garbage and shouldn't be on the floor.
We need Trevor back so he can eat up about 15-18 minutes. _________________

Yeah, I know there's a difference, but as I said, two and a half months after I break a bone I'm back playing like I was before the injury.
I mean I even went to the last regular season game against the Kings and in warm ups Trevor was shooting threes, playing defense on Shaw and moving around like he had no hint of injuries. I could be wrong but Trevor isn't risking his career like Bynum would if he played, right? _________________

not as much. the foot bones are easy compared to the knee. a single bone in and of itself has no articulation. the joints articulate. and the knee is a very complicated joint with axis of rotation. ht big thing with the mnee with not coming back to early is the risk of messing up the further through outher adjustments or messing up the other knee..
with the broken foot, the main fear is rebreaking it becasue it hasn't fully healed. from what i ahve seen recently, the lakers are suspecting the foot has healed as much as it can even if it isn't back to how it should be. that could be a result of the pre-existing foot probelms he had. i know he is getting another opinion at some point to decide on that issue _________________

Ariza would have no spot in the roation since he is out of shape right now. He owuld be behind Vlad and Walton.
Bynum would have no spot either. He is out of shape. He would be behind Ronny and DJ.
Look at Mihm. He is not in shape yet. He has never got his back up spot back like he did to start the year.
Let these guys come back next year. |

Most of the injuries that we have to deal with as fans are always frustrating obviously. Its just 10X more frustrating when players always take 2-3 times as long to recover than what the initial estimated time would be.
Hurry back Ariza. Vlad as been absolute garbage in the playoffs. _________________

| He got the 3rd opinion today, this Dr. cleared him to play as well. So now it is basically up to the Lakers Dr. to give the ok and clear him so if that happens he can play as soon as Phil wants to use him. |

How nice it would be to have him in Game 6.
But he'll probably make his return next round. _________________ "The best way to understand the future is to learn about the past." |

umm, no he can't.
I have more confidence in lamar's shot than his.
