Im not a big fan of his game, but the dude is having a career year. 21.5 ppg, on 46% shooting, and you add in the fact that the Bulls are one of the top teams in the east and no one got on from their team, Ben Goron deserved it more than Chauncey, and Vince IMO

more than Vince? I disagree. Vince Carter is one of the most spectecular players in the league.

You rather see Vince dunk or Gordon shoot 3s? Gordon is just a scorer, coming off the bench for a long while. An all-star that doesnīt even start for his team? Carter is the go-to guy in NJ and while they have a bad record, thats not his mistake, they just have injuries and a sucky front court.

You might say Billups didnīt deserve it this year more than Ben but there is no doubt he is the better player.

I hear u Kb8, but all I'm thinking about is the records. Nets are 3 or 4 games under .500 and they have 2 players in the ASG. CHicago has the 3rd best record in the east, and has NO players being represented, just ain't right

The Heat aren't even in the playoffs as of right now and they have 2 players in the ASG.

indeed it looks weird but the difference is Chicago has a different philosophy than NJ. NJ has its 3 stars and a bunch of scrubs. Chicago has no real stars but they have a very capable TEAM.

One night its Gordon, the other its Nocioni, then its Deng or Ben Wallace...every night someone comes up big. And they have defined roles. Gordon is their perimeter option, Deng their mid-range option, Nocioni their perimeter defender and 6th man, Ben their shot blocker and so on. Everybody does what he is supposed to rather than other teams where the star has to be the best scorer, the best defender, the best shooter and so on. Chicago has ONE player that IMO has all-star talent which is Loul Deng. Gordon simply doesnīt have any kind of all-round game. Deng has it and IMO he COULD have been voted by the coaches and nobody would have complained.

Ben Gordon has been > VC and > Billups this year. you can try and make an argument against him, but it's pointless. woo hoo VC can dunk. that's really the only reason to watch the guy anymore. he's streaky and inconsistent as hell. yeah VC is the go to guy in NJ. that's precisely why they suck. when your go to guy has the consistency of Sasha Vujacic and the heart of Jerome James your team is gonna suck. Ben is just as important to his team and what he's doing has been far more effective. this guy wins so many games for his team. yeah I'm a Bulls fan, but until recently I havent been a fan of Gordon. truth be told I wanted the guy traded. just thought he was a streaky chucker. he's proved me wrong. he's improved all assets of his game this season.

having said that, I can see why VC is on the AS team though. the fans voted him in. so whatever. Billups though? I dont see it. Ben averages more PPG in fewer minutes and shoots a higher FG% from both 2 and 3. he's also played 10 more games than Chauncey.

Doesn't matter.

Who entertains me more? Oh yah, Vince Carter.

You disagree you need to watch what he did last week on youtube.

no he is not.

21.5/3/3.6 <<<<< 25/6/4.4

Carter has by far better stats and I take him over Gordon every day and twice sundays. Who cares whether he has the heart of Jerome James. The all-star game is about one BASKETBALL game, not about work ethic.
