We just had a draft in our H2H league.

Here are the results:

Hmm...

I will get to the analysis later... Meanwhile - talk it over man1

EDIT: My bad - should have been Fantasy Forum. Didn't even see it.

Some quick thoughts.

Rounds 1-3: no real surprises. pretty standard stuff

Round 4: Bell, Granger and Parker went a little soon

Round 5: BIG run on Point Guards. Most of the top tier PG's gone by this round.

Round 6: Okafor could be a steal.

Round 7: If Randolph is healthy - could be a steal. Boozer like numbers taken a few rounds later. I panicked because I didn't have enough PG's so I took Roy. I regret not taking Chandler/Randolph with this pick.

Late round steals: Mighty Mouse, Dunleavy, maybe Nene, all of mine (LOL),

I think that Frye and Okafor were steals for me.

I would have taken Roy myself - but my internet connection ( may be the applet ) went dead and I got Mo-Pete ( not that bad, but still ).

But the real steal is Wells. I forgot about him as we all did.

ProPulSion, if no injury will happen will do some real damage. The problem is - he has 4 Nuggets! That is trouble on some weeks.

Rock also gambled hard - on Camby, Ilgauskas is not going to get any healthier. Zach can be a steal.

Really? I could swear that you picked yourself. Not too shabby IMO for an autopick. Gasol will damage you till the mid December, but then - a big boost.

ya at least is has some balance. But I picked injuries and a couple of picks would be different. Iwould have picked Ben Wallace and I would have not picked Marvin Williams. (and Gasol would probably be available 1-2 rounds later too)

Unfortunately 3 of those "steals" all play for the Nuggets. It's hard to have a lot of people from the same team, cause nights the Nuggs don't play, BOOM, atleast 3 of your players are out.

EDIT: Yea, I said atleast 3 of your players are out, cause I figured if you had Melo, which ends up you do, then you'd have 4 players out. So nights the Nuggets aren't playing, 4 of your players are ineligible to play.

Zen, Propulsion and I were getting tired talking trash about the rest of your picks! LOL

But sersiously, that was one of the quietest live drafts ever.

We need to buy you guys some alarm clocks!

It was very disappointing - I hope you guys ( those who didn't get to the draft ) won't quit because of that. If so - tell us. I want it to be as competitive as possible.

mojo - may be we should redo it? I wouldn't want it to be a throw in...

I actually think that I have kinda of a solid team - all the injuries.

But I do think that redoing the draft would be a good idea. I really never complain about anything but this time 90% of the league missed the draft. I was there last week, it was changed but I forgot it this time. I think the league could have been more competetive if we re-do the draft.

Its not about winning, its about fun and I think people would have more fun with the players they like more than the other.

If possible we could redo it as soon as today or tomorrow.

but as I said, if we do not re-do it, its still ok for me. I donīt want to be the party pooper or anything. I donīt take this kind of stuff too serious (tho I always give my best). So whatever the decision is Iīm fine, but indeed I would prefer re-doing the draft and maybe adding one player to the current system (one more utility player).

I'm kinda fine with my team.

I pre-ranked, so it's no big deal, the only thing I don't get is how Ma. Bonner ended up on my team... man10

can we find a quick solution? I donīt want to work on trades if we re-do the draft.

KB8 - you'd like to redraft.

Zen - don't care

Who else? We can redraft it easily, if you guys ( including those who were at the draft ) are up to it...

mojo? realm? pro? rock?

You can't redraft after the live draft.

The only way would be an email type draft, where we do it outside Yahoo and then I adjust everyone's roster.

That kind of draft usually takes days if not weeks, so we don't have time.

If the majority wants to re-draft, then we'd probably miss the first week of play.

I think it's best that you try to improve your rosters through trades.

I think everyone's mostly happy with their teams for the most part anyways.

i dont see a point in redrafting ... fantasy basketball season isn't necessarily over if you have a bad draft. everybody has a weakness and that is why we have the option to trade. if one person has a boatload of rebounders and another has a lot of shooters, a trade can be made in a way that benefits both. everybody in our league has a chance to better their teams via trades.

OK... No redraft. Start trading or picking up sleepers and praying. =)

As for the roll call, most everybody used their CL name or something similar (ie. Zen, Mojo, etc.) except:

Porklips = Bigdnolia
Rock Solid Rotts = Triumph Jelani
IQ Team = ???

Shooter, what stats/position you looking for?
