|
|
I've had a few threads for this guy over the last three years. He's not putting up the most dominant numbers, but I wonder if he has a shot at the ASG again. A couple weeks back, he threw his first SHO. Now he added his second today.
Though 13 games...
His record of 6-4 isn't impressive and it's probably going to hurt him, but "only" 19 NL pitchers have 6 wins or more at this point.
His 91 innings tie him for 1st in the NL
His 3.36 ERA is 13th best in the NL
He's tied for the NL lead with 2 CG
He's leading the NL with 2 SHO
His 69Ks are 9th best in the NL
His .223 BAA is 6th best in the NL
At any rate, I'm rooting for the guy. He was impressive today, three hitting the Reds. _________________

| Hamels is one of my favorite pitchers. Not many players have a change more wicked than him. |

8 IP, 3 Hits, 2 ER, 13 Ks, 1 BB...no decision because Flash Gordon blew it. _________________

I haven't lived in PA for five years and I still dislike the guy (Drew).
Colon has some back stiffness and leaves the game. Hamels was doing reasonably well until two stupid pitches and two HRs. _________________

Howard is kind of awesome. When it was 4-2 I was very concerned. It's 8-2 now so I feel considerably better, but the heart of your order will bat at least once more. _________________

I'll go on record saying that I don't like Manuel putting Hamels out there for the 8th inning with 3-4-5 coming up and his pitch count at 104. _________________

He walked the first dude, they brought in a reliever who got three quick outs. He's done at 7 IP. _________________

He was dominant last season. Had a 28 (or so) inning scoreless streak to end the season. _________________

He might regress soon though because he walks far too many. Then again, he walked a ton last year and managed to pitch around it. _________________
