Calm down Gangsta! This will be a long season. You don't win championship in the preseason or in december. Ask Dallas 2002-2003 team. Shaq will be there when we need him and I have a feeling Kobe will too.
ELF i'm out! |

My only concern is that we sometimes look too old. I was watching Suns dunking and getting all of the rebounds over us, we just looked like we can't match that energy at some points. That's my only concern... Shaq will be O.K. And Kobe will play most of the games, wether or not he goes to trial _________________ Role Players turn our team from being great to the GREATEST!!! |

I think there's some good explanation for that. 1, it's the preaseason and we may not be giving our full effort so we don't get any more injuries. 2, some of our older players need to get their bounce back, which is part of what the preseason helps with. _________________

yep and prolly that made me mad malone said " We ganna crush people in our first preseason games" u know whats the weird part he shoulda said " we want to crush people in our season games not preseason games wtf do preseason games have to do with crushing there is rookies and our team who come when our 1 squad sits down and they mess it up no i dont think they will crush people or ne thing in the preseason games !!!!
for good sake i want them to crush people in season games not preseason games why do i say that cuss there is no freaking action in preseason games and hopefully Lakers will bring action in the season i jus wish shaq daddy plays like he did in the 1999-2000 season we will be great!!!! |

In case you all didn't notice, Shaq and Kobe did NOT play and Kobe hasn't even played one game. _________________

Hey Ganja man, no wories!! With the new stuff in favor of Kobe happening in court, it can only give him the confidence to step it up. When the regular season starts, the crew will dominate!! Just worry about the bench... still looks pretty bad after these pre-season games. As soon as the starters are pulled it's city!! |

Hey Ganxta, wheres yo pride man? I remember from the very day that we got Glove/Mailman all of us right away said that we were the favorites to win it all. And now, you're saying we ain't? Thats crazy talk, I'm telling ya. We're still the favorites cause Kobe and Shaq are just getting pumped out for the season. We're still the favorites especially when our men heal. It's aight, don't freak out or something. _________________ Ideal Lakers: Kirk Snyder, Derek Anderson, Fred Jones, Theo Ratliff, Mickael Gelebale Others of interest: Ricky Davis, Jason Williams, Bonzi Wells, Quinton Ross, Yakhouba Diawara, Walter Herrmann, Salim Stoudamire, Devin Brown, Michael Finley, Juan Dixon, Brian Skinner, Jamaal Magloire, Kareem RushMORE |

I don't mean to be rude, but that guy has the WORST grammar I've ever seen. I have a headache just trying to decipher what he's saying. LOL.
At any rate ... before coming to ANY conclusions, let's just see how the season begins. After all, if the pre-season were any indicator of regular season success, then it looks to be a Utah vs Miami NBA finals. LOL.
I mean, there are the only teams who have a BETTER than .500 record:
Miami, Toronto, New Jersey, New Orleans, Utah, Memphis, Denver, Golden State, and Seattle.
The rest of the teams have a record of .500 or worse. Notice that only two of the better than .500 teams were playoff contenders last year (with Utah rebuilding this year).
So, stop worrying. Wait until the season. The drama queen act NEEDS to stop! |

When the Lakers signed Malone and Payton, it was almost a sure thing that the Lakers would win, provided that they all stay healthy and play together as a team within the triangle offense.
Now, that most of the teams in the west have reacted and improved their teams (Spurs, Wolves, Kings, and Mavs), I don't think it's as clear-cut as it was two months ago.
I think right now these five teams are EQUALLY talented and capable of winning the title. The team that can come together and remain healthy by the playoffs will win the championship. The question is which one?
All said and done, I think the Lakers will struggle the first half of the season, but in the second half, the veteran expeirence will take over and prevail....and that is the Lakers. Lakers will win it all, but not in the fashion that everyone hoped for and I'm talking about blowing every team out and going for record wins of 73. That ain't gonna happen! |
