Quote:
SI: Not long after his team's heartbreaking Elite Eight loss to Kansas on Sunday, Davidson star Stephen Curry squashed any speculation that his electrifying NCAA tournament run might prompt him to enter the NBA Draft.

"I'm definitely coming back next year," the sophomore said in his team's locker room. "I don't think I'm ready for [the NBA]."

Curry, the son of former NBA player Dell, was named Most Outstanding Player of the Midwest Regional after scoring 33 points against Wisconsin and 35 against Kansas. He became the first player from a losing team to earn that distinction since 1994.

Curry said he will likely slide over to point guard next season what with national assist leader Jason Richards graduating.

"We have a great team coming back," said Curry. "Hopefully we can get back to this point."

Curry is a smart man. A lot of guys would have jump at the opportunity of getting drafted. Now, he can raise his value and put himself in a better position to succeed when he leaves.

He is a great shooter from what I have seen. More of a combo guard with shooting-first mentality. I would say just based on talent he would be a top 20 pick...just my estimation tho, I have no idea how the NBA scouts see him.

I like his game and I think he made huge strides from last year...having played in college already will help him. Since he is undersized if he can get some point skills, then watch out.

I agree, I think he would have gone in mid to late 20's. I feel though this is very smart choice for him. He can go back and develop some point skills along with his shooting skills and become a much better version of a Pargo etc in the NBA. I wish more kids like him would stay in college extra year. It helps college game and allows them to be more NBA ready when they go to NBA.

Smart kid IMO, he's a great shooter, a natural, but not ready for the NBA to me. He's too skinny and too small and the only people that make it that are too skinny and too small are SUPER quick guys and he's not that quick. He needs to work on his handles because if he wants to be in the NBA he most likely has to be a PG. I think he can make it because he'a s natrual shooter, brilliant stroke, but he needs to continue to grow as a player.
