Last year there were guys like Deron Williams, Andres Biedrins and Leandro Barbosa and even Nick Collison. Who are your picks for this year?

My picks are Jason Maxiell, Rudy Gay, Jameer Nelson (resurgant year)...

Andre Iguodala
Luol Deng
Al Jefferson
Gerald Green
Andrew Bynum
Rajon Rondo

Those are the main players I expect to break out. Jefferson, Green, Bynum, and Rondo will break out due to increase of playing time and touches. Iguodala and Deng will break out because they are now their team's #1 scoring options and they both ended last season as all-stars.

I mean Jefferson's probably gonna have 20/10 next season. There's no one on the Wolves that's gonna score 20...unless Ricky Davis decideds to be a chucker.

This thread asks for sleepers, not breakout players. Sleepers are players who you think other teams will forget about and let sit undrafted for too long. Guys who have the potential to outperform their draft spot. Don Nelson has already said that he is considering starting Bellinelli over Ellis, and with Ellis' injury that's even more likely to happen now. Conley is a point guard playing alongside a great outside shooter in Miller and a solid low post man in Pau. He is going to get a decent amount of assists.

At the top of my head, I really like Rudy Gay to break out in a big way. He showed some really nice flashes of being a nice all around performer. I agree with the many that have already been listed especially Rondo and Gay. Also, I would like to add Lamarcus Aldridge to the mix. Brandon Roy broke out last year as a rookie, so I wouldn't call him a sleeper, but I think a high draft choice is worth it for the kid.

Ok guys. Super sleeper of the year... Lou Williams. If this guy earns burn he will fill up the stat sheet.

Randy Foye - Completely agree. Young guy with loads of potential and has the pg position on lock. Gains a bunch of value if Ricky Davis gets traded.

Rajon Rondo - Similar to Foye, but should dish out tons of assists given the talent around him. Also should be a nice source for steals.

Luis Scola - I've heard the hype, but have yet to see him play. If he's as good as people are talking, he should beat out Hayes and be productive. I wouldn't invest any pick on him at this point, but a waiver wire pick up if other sleepers are slacking.

Tony Allen - Eh. I'm reluctant to agree. Not because he doesn't have potential or talent, but because 21 year old Lou Williams has more talent and will, at the very least, eat at his minutes until he gains the starters role.

Walter Herrman - One of my favorite sleepers. However, reports out of Charlotte are that Herrman will have to earn his PT as a reserve under a new coaching staff. Look for a slow start, but as soon as someone falters a nice season.

Ty Thomas - Agree as well. Showed great flashes as a rook in limited time. Now it appears he has the PF position to lose. I see a nice line from the raw but talented second year guy.

Andrew Bogut - I guess you could call him a sleeper, but most publications have him as a top tier #1 Center. He should be a fantastic player this year.

Brendan Haywood - I've been hearing Haywood mentioned as a sleeper. I couldn't disagree more. He should be a nice backup option, but even without Thomas, he never showed the ability to be an upper echelon Center. Don't buy the hype to draft him as your number one center.

Amir Johnson - Kudos for doing some in depth sleeper research, but I think you are reaching here. Unless an injury takes place, there are better options of sixth men to go for. He should get some minutes, maybe 25 a game, but shouldn't warrant a draft pick whatsoever.

Tim Thomas - Basketball IQ is his biggest concern. I would not ever advise drafting Thomas (partially cause I hate his crossed eyed guts) because I can see him playing himself out of the rotation especially with the rookie Thornton NBA ready.

Navarro - I kind of like this pick. The problem is the Gizzes unknown rotation at G. I wouldn't draft the guy unless it is a very deep league. I reccommend to keep a very close eye on him though. I like this one from you.

Pretty nice list. I agree on most players, but only time will tell.

I would like to add Aldridge, Gay, Lou Williams, Thornton, and possibly Law, Sergio Rodriguez, and Ryan Gomes.

Bogut, but he's probably not a sleeper per se, as pointed out earlier in the thread. Foye would probably be next.

Tony Allen is on the Celtics, Louis Williams is on the Sixers.

I just mentioned Haywood because with minutes he will definitely give you rebounds and blocks. He is definitely not a #1 center.

I've got Amir as a sleeper, but don't suggest he actually be drafted.

I was confusing Tony Allen with Willie Green. My bad bro.

Pick him up now. He's starting to get 30 mpg and Andre Miller is really underperforming.
