| Pistons guard Chauncey Billups (left knee) and forward Antonio McDyess (left shoulder) had MRIs done here Thursday. Results were negative for both players and the Pistons said they are questionable for Friday's 10:30 p.m. game against the Lakers. |

Cook looks like he's ready to go beserk, hasn't done anything, well anything good, in a while.

| Well I doubt Billups will play. Way too early in the season don't wanna risk any injuries to the star player. |

| I hope I'll be home in time for the game since I got a game of my own. Hopefully the Lakers will commit less turnovers, which usually makes or breaks the game, and hopefully the bench can help out more, 40+ points from them. I want to see everyone hit shots like Radmanovic. |

it seems like for the last three seasons, every pistons game is a carbon copy of each other. midway through the first quarter, we go down by 13 and it's game over. i'm so tired of that. we MUST stay close with them throughout the first half - we can not afford to go down by double digits in the first quarter YET AGAIN. ugh. _________________

Well the positive sign is so far this year we haven't gotten out to a poor start. Maybe that's due to Turiaf being in our starting lineup and giving us a shot of energy out the gate.
Hopefully the Lakers continue the same trend. Too bad Ronny's out for this one.
If Kobe can contain Rip Hamilton, that will be huge. _________________

| McDeyes is out for sure. Billups is questionable, he is recovering from two apparent injuries. I don't know if the Pistons risk putting him out there tonight. That will be huge for us though if Billups is out. |

| With Billups out, we have a chance to win. His 3's (against our horrid 3 pt D) will destroy us. The key to Pistons is to attack them at the rack, just keep driving in and bump into them. They don't have Ben Wallace anymore, you can just break them down and go in. The Cavs exposed them. If we start settleing for jumpers, we gonna play right into their hands. |

That's true. Ronny has brought a completely new dimension to the starting unit. That's probably the wisest decision Jackson has made all year. He was an absolute steal in the draft. I'm sure there are a few fans around the league already blasting their GM for bypassing him.
If RT is out, and Chauncy plays, it could be the same old story once again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I don't want to have to re-post the cartoon of LakerFan standing on the bridge after the game.

According to NBA.com's Fantasy News, it is very likely that both Billups and Antonio will sit out tonight's game.
We must win. No matter who is suiting-up for the game!
A bit late. Just saw oneofthesedays' post. _________________ "Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael?" Rick Reilly

I hope our bench shows up this evening. They're the 5th highest scoring bench in the league!
38.3 ppg I believe! _________________ "Why can't America realize that falling in love with Kobe doesn't mean breaking up with Michael?" Rick Reilly

Thanks, but that's only for live games I believe. I won't be able to access a computer so anything like archived games like NBA League Pass has would be great. |

So who is starting if Chauncey AND McDyess are out?
Flip, Rip, Prince, Sheed, and Maxiell? _________________

they play a variation of Zone
but usually a Diamond Box for Kobe |
I don't know much about how the "diamond box" works. Would you help me out.
Will Prince go man-on-man with Kobe and the other 4 defenders play a diamond-shaped box zone? If so what's the best strategy against that?
Is McD really going to be their center (as listed on ESPN preview). The guy is listed at 6'9". Will he be the one guarding the rim? If so can't we just throw oops to Bynum all day? Or will Wallace be patrolling under the rim?
Any other insights as to how the diamond box works?
Thanks. |

That's what I was thinking, we need to shoot perimeter shots, not necessarily threes, but also mid range when playing against Zone D. |
