yeah, as great as Lo and kobe were today, the game ball goes to farmar.
He is the reason we won this game. four steals for him. he sparked us the the fourth quarter.
also, good to see phil stick with the guys playing well and not just sticking with a fixed rotation _________________

What an amazing game, what an amazing fourth quarter. I'm glad Phil started the bench for the fourth quarter, they really gave the Lakers a spark. Farmar was amazing on defense.
Oh yeah, Kobe looked really happy there in during the fourth quarter. |

Like I said last game, Farmar is making a strong argument for that starting PG spot.
He's bringing the fire and passion. It's just good to know we have a solid rotation at the 1 this year.
Great game by the Lakers inspite of an off shooting night. |

I swear ...
Farmar - Kobe - Bynum - Odom have GOT to be on the court at the same time - all the time! |

I admit it's a nice quartet, but Farmar has done a phenomenal job off the bench and has provided a great spark.
Is he good enough to be our starter? I think so.
Is he more effective coming off the bench? That's debatable
Even if he did play well as a starter, would Fisher be able to play well as a bench player. _________________ GoalLineBlitz (Manute Bol- LB) http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=298765

I agree. There's a nice mix of youth and veteran talent with that lineup.
On a side note, I don't think Kobe wants to leave anymore. He was doing chest bumps, and smiling ear to ear. Detroit has always been a thorn in our side, so I know he's loving this win tonight. |

The Lakers have started out the season pretty strong. I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the schedule, I thought they were going to have a sub-par start. But damn I was wrong, we beat Phoenix, Houston, Detroit, Utah, all Top-tier teams. The three games we lost were to amazing teams as well, Houston, San Antonio, and New Orleans.
I know it's early in the season still, but we have to take advantage of this and make sure we do well on Home court and do well against bad teams. We can't be having 2OT's against Charlotte... |

yea seriously it could have gone all down hill with the schedule we had to open this year....some were predicting 1-7 by this time..2-6, hell some were gonna be happy if we came out 3-5...but 5-3 is a tremendous start...and remember 4 of those games were without Lamar...lamar would have REALLY made a difference in the 2 losses we suffered without him....but so far our record with lamar is 3-1...lets keep it up and stomp those bulls on sunday...hopefully the other lakers will show kobe that he doesnt need to go to chicago when he can DOMINATE with them HERE in LA _________________ Michael:"Peter where the hell were u yesterday what were u doin?!"

Fisher's the type of guy who will accept his role if it benefits the team.. You won't see him pouting and acting like a fool if he doesn't start or get massive minutes.
He's a class act, so I see no problems from him if he comes off the bench. Like I said, our rotation at the 1 is solid this year. |

When I started watching I was worried 'cause Cook was starting. I literally dropped my mouth when he was on the floor at the start of the game...then he proceeds to live up to people's expectations on this forum as the worst basketball player (even though he can sometimes hit those 3's).
Great game though. They were really sluggish against the Detroit zone D the first three quarters, but picked up their energy in the 4th, where it really matters (especially with guys like Farmar). I love the 2nd unit. They literally saved the game for us, and they've been doing it all year. I'm so glad Vlad is back too, shooting lights out for us and even husting.
LO looked like a total beast tonight. I hope he can keep this up. That'll be key for us throughout the season.
