5-point loss, damn, I'm starting to get scary with these projections. The thing is, if we don't try something different, it could happen again, unless the officiating changed. But honestly, you can't say that the officiating was that lopsided. No reasons to think that it's going to be much better in game 4.

It won't change until game 5. So we'll simply deal with that and win game 4 anyway. We had a bad game, and barely lost.

1.3 % difference and it's evident Kobe was a much better 3 point shooter that season. Are you seriously trying to argue that?

Are you dense? You said 05 Kobe would never miss that 3. He's saying Kobe has shot a better % from the 3 this year.

Yeah I'm sure he wasn't implying anything at all by posting percentages. He just decided to post them for fun huh? lol @ calling me dense.

If you still haven't gotten it...

Sad, isn't it?

It really bothers me how bad our inexperienced players were but that is why they are inexperienced. LOL. Gasol, Farmar, and Sasha need to bring it in game 4.

You could tell Kobe wanted this one bad but most of the others guys weren't on the same page as him. mad1

FOR ALL THE PEOPLE ON AM570 ASKING FOR MORE DRAMA FROM THE LAKER GAMES, I HOPE YOUR HAPPY CAUSE I'M NOT!!! mad1

As much as I appreciate this site...sometimes I just have to tune out...

One thing is to be upset...its another thing to be so asinine that you make stupid remarks...

We should trade away the whole team...and next game, only kobe should play.

Honestly...did you all really think we were going to go undefeated in the toughest conference against the toughest teams?

We lost a close game...we shot miserably...and we were right there...

Fisher going out early hurt us. We dug ourselves the inital hole that we couldn't get out of.
Farmar and Sasha blew.
Too many turnovers.

The only thing I'd really like to see from Gasol is for him to hit the weight room and increase,.. hell, just get some strength. He says his natural position is power forward, but I don't see how. I just see him as a very skilled, and very soft center.

There is a difference I just came to realize. For most, and there are exceptions, non-fans the Lakers game is just like going to the movies. If the movie is good - good, if not - well there is that great restaurant right next to the theater.

For most fans, Lakers game is a source of eternal joy and a very nervous event.

They had an answer for us on every one of our mini-runs and completely outplayed us from start to finish IMO.

Despite this, we brought it down to a single possession late in the fourth quarter. Then they answered by pushing the lead back to 9. Yet we almost brought it into striking distance were it not for a crucial turnover after that jump ball.

They made shots they normally wouldn't and we missed a lot of shots that we normally would make.

Only negatives were the 14 assists to 18 turnovers.

Pass the ball more and be more careful and we're in good shape. Game 4 is still going to be extremely important but it's winnable.

We know that Kobe is going to step up on Sunday. whether or not his teammates decide to will determine whether or not we can steal an away game in Utah.

Gasol tried but he can't do much with physical players like Boozer etc. i also counted like 4-5 legitimate missed calls where Pau should have been launching it from the charity stripe. Talk about another 8-12 free-throws we should have had.

Walton is definitely not recieving his gift after that blunder.

The positive thing is that Utah probably played to their full potential tonight, but we still managed to keep it a close game. Phil and company will make the needed adjustments and we'll come out ready for game 4. I'm confident we'll take it Sunday.

Carlos Loozer played well..
Besides Kobe and D-Fish, everyone else looked/played scared - Pau, Farmar... yeah..

We'll get them back game 4...

I gotta agree. This could very easily drag out to a torturous, very long series if we don't do something to counter their brutalization of us inside.

Heck, I'm confident we'll win the next 2. It ends in 5.

naw, Gasol doesn't need strength for his style of player. Being stronger won't make his jumpshot more effective, neither will it make his hook shot more deadly. It might help him on defense when he's standing under the basket.

What Gasol needs to do is play the 4

Well the thing is, how many shots did you see that we should have made but didn't make? I just didn't see any shot that we could have just willed in out there.

The Jazz will NOT hit that many shots down the stretch in any other game in this series. Nor will Boozer pour in a performance like that again. Nothing really to worry about IMHO.

You are dense. You claim that something is wrong with Kobe's 3 ball this season by saying that in 05/06 he would have made it and he just showed you that Kobe has a higher % this year. What is so hard to understand.

Damn, I hate bandwagon fans. CL should have closed the registration after the All Star.

blah blah blah I hate bandwagon fans wah wah wah.

Percentages have nothing to do with it. If you're going to quote me and then not respond to what I was talking about then get the **** out. Kobe shooting 1.3% lower that year has nothing to do with the fact that he had a better 3 point shot that season.

That's the kind of team they are at home... and shown in their home court record... we have to expect them to play like that every single night...

tonight.. we lost because we had a relatively bad night... but expect the same performance from utah in game 4... we just need a better game...

not that i prefer this loss, but i think it might have been a good reality check for the team... just hope they can use that to their advantage in game 4.

its kinda funny how som guys here expect us to go undefeated for the playoffs. while it would have been great, its not realistic. Kobe needs to come out strong on sunday, fisher needs to stay on the floor and just a few adjustments here and there from the other guys, we should be good. i see us winning the next two games. Its the playoffs and we dont expect to sweep a team like the jazz.

Not real mad about this loss they played harder. Gasol played buttery soft and need to get him a Lakers contender handbook which says don't play for foul calls and play with some toughness.

Phil not afraid to point out Gasol's shortcomings today. Hopefully Pau hears it.

agreed. Their Homecourt record over the regualar season didn't come from nothing. They play very well at home and we just gotta show our a-game to get W in this building, but i'm very confident we'll get it on sunday.
