apparently Francis pursued Dooling to come to Orlando, and then Dooling would play point guard and francis would move to the 2 spot...and Dooling would guard the other team's best guard so francis could save his legs for offfense...damn i'd love to have Francis but if it means giving up Odom, then i wish we kept Butler and gave away george atkins and slava for Brown...
But the main issues are getting a point guard and a power forward...Kwame Brown and Steve Francis are a pretty good start at upgrading those positions...if not Francis...then why not Jason Williams from Memphis?

Almost 9 million per year for 3 seasons...that's why not Williams. Can't see the Lakers doing it and I don't think I blame them.

its a pipe dream. but it would be cool if it happens but who else do we have to offer if we are not giving up odom?

Lakers better act quick...Damon Stoudemire is going to memphis...maybe this is a sign that the Grizzlies will trade J Williams to us! If we dont hafta give up Mihm, Bynum, Odom, Bryant or Kwame to get Williams...then im all for it...3 seasons and almost 9 million? stop thinking about Amare and Yao man...we wont get them cuz they will be locked up after this year

| I would not want Franchise on the lakers. He is a shoot-first kind of player, and not the kind of pointguard the lakers need. He would not get along with Kobe and both of them would suffer. + aquiring him ruins any chance of landing Yao or Amare in 2007. |

But we have PJ. So he can fix underachievers who until now have lacked heart, but cant fix a guy who has passion and can ball, selfish or not. Isnt selfish his specialty |
