Houston Chronicles:
Today Houston Rocket GM Critter made his very first move as the general manager. He hired ShowtimeDynasty_24/7 as the assistant general manager. Critter had a few words to say about the move... "I think with this hiring, we can make a tag team and take over the entire NBA. 2 is better than 1." |

Houston Chronicles:
You smell that? It's the start of the off season for the Rockets. This summer will be an interesting summer for the Houston Rockets. GM Critter is determined to make this team elite. With Yao and Tmac having no trade clauses, it will be hard to trade them and get back good value for them. So with that said, most likely they both will be staying. The weakest positions the Rockets have is the point guard, and power forward position. They will try to address that in the off season. They are one of the best defensive teams so Shane Battier is also staying. It will be a good summer for Rocket fans. |

Breaking News! New assistant gm found.
The Rockets have found yet another assistant. Armani has experience which he will help bring the Rockets back to the top. Gm Critter had this to say... "We are glad to have another assistant. Armani is a smart guy and will help me make this Rockets team better." |

The Houston Rockets want to switch things up and give Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming the talent they need to help them win a championship. They have discussed a trade with a team which they will give up 5 players for a superstar. The trade is agreed upon and will go through Wednesday. Critter had a things to say about the situation... "If you know me, you know that I like to take risks. Things were not working as planned in Houston and I want to get them over the hump. With this trade, the Rockets will have a BIG 3. I can say the big 3 is more talented than Bostons. You just have to wait and see " |

The Houston Rockets have agreed to another trade. More details to come tomorrow when trades can become official. But after the two trades, Rockets will be a dangerous team. |

Houston Chronicles:
The Houston Rockets are about to be on top again. Last night, we wrote a story about a new trade but we could not provide details to the trade. But we just found out what it is. Both deals the Rockets are making they give up all their depth in sacrifice they can get it back in FA. They will trade Shane Battier, Luis Scola, Rafer Alston, Steve Francis, Luther Head, Bobby Jackson, Aaron Brooks, 2008 1st round pick, 2010 1st round pick for... Allen Iverson and Jason Terry. They are both different deals but that's what the Rockets give up all together and get back Allen Iverson and Jason Terry. With Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson, and Jason Terry... offense should not be a problem. But the Rockets will look for good role players to surround these guys now. |

you are going all out for these guys, it may end up being "at least Western Conference Finalist" or bust, you just need a PF... _________________

Iverson, McGrady, Terry, and Yao? I hope the NBA allows the Rockets to play with two basketballs at once. _________________ March 21, 1999:

lol I laugh at that
the saying "there is only 1 basketball for all these guys" is overrated
tmac is unselfish, yao will get his. ai will get his. terry my shooter |

I think that they will fare better than melo and AI, but i really don't see enough defense on this team to survive. plus with yao, they can't push the pace. i am interested in how he makes this work _________________

offense outweighs defense if the team can score unstoppable
Iverson has played a half court game with the Sixers. A 35 year old Mutombo was running with Ai in the lineup just fine. Mutombo as their 2nd best player got them to the finals.
just my opinion
i can make it work |

yeah, but remember, AI had tons of great defensive players surroundign him then.
and if you need some ideas about offense over defense, look at the recent suns, and the 80s nuggets. _________________

It can work because all these players have a chip on there shoulders
T-mac never been out of the first round
AI - 1 final appearance window closing
Yao never been to a finals
Terry - Miami finals needs to be rewritten better for him
Im sure they will share in order to get the job done - get larry brown imo Best coach for these guys
You took a chance to win now especially with the way things are with teams improving _________________

Raja Bell.
From a talent point of view Critter wins this trade hands down, but I see a lot of problems with team chemistry and defense. So I don't think that the trade was worth it. Are both AI and Terry starting for your back court? _________________

I like the trade for him... only if they can get iverson to learn to be a leader and do what kobe did this season and help the younglings as well as give the ball away and set other players up, because he will always get his shot... thats the one thing iverson has always been missing about him. leadership _________________

move T-mac back to SF. i've always felt that was his natural position. same with his cousin. _________________

Here is why I made the trades. First off, Yao and Tmac are injury prone so with the current roster before the trade, that was not enough talent to win a 1st or 2nd seed with one of them injured during the season. So with that said, Iverson and Terry comes in to help out when one of them gets injured so the Rockets can sustain the level of play they are capable of. Its a risk but the current roster was not working and Tmac and Yao have been together for 4 years and not gotten out of the 1st round. So I took a chance and if it pays off, then the Rockets will be a top team. But if the Ai thing does not work, he is an expiring so I will have some cap room the following off season to sign someone else to pair with Tmac, Terry, and Yao. Its really a win-win situation.
Thats where I am coming from.

I think this is a better pairing for AI than Denver was.
Should be interesting to see what role players are brought in to play with these guys. _________________
