It was discussed in another thread and I believe he consensus among regular members is that we would like to have guests register before they are able to post. This should (hopefully) cut down on the B.S. that we get on a regular basis.

Now, I'm not saying that we can't have non-Laker fans as member, in fact, I encourage it....the more the merrier. But, it would encourage posters to become members before they can post.

I'm a member of a few other non-related boards which require guest to use a legitimate email addy and register before they can post. Heck there are even boards were certain forums aren't even visible to non-members.

So, what do you say, CL?

4real... it's like we're encouraging the ignorant posts on here. So if people really wanna voice a legitimate opinion, then they can do so. Like u said, it'll cut the BS of this site, and maintain strong topics, and logical opinions.

Tell ya what, I'll meet you half way for the time being...

There, I just shut down the ability for unregistered guests to create new threads. They can still reply to an existing thread, but they can't start a new topic without first registering.

That should clean up the face of the thread lists.

Better?

We'll take up the debate on guest participation and their ability to reply to current threads another day.
