I have a few:

1) My preference would be LO to Miami for

Haslem
Davis
Quinn

Haslem would fill our SF position perfectly. He's cheaper than LO and I think tougher on defense than LO. We can use Davis as a shooter off the bench for the rest of this year. At the end of the year, if he doesn't work out, just let him and Quinn walk. I think their combined salaries are like around 7 mil.

2) Trade two is just for financial reason. Trade with Minnesota for Ratlif and Brewer plus a lottery protected 1st round pick.

Ratliff is a expiring contract and Brewer is a young SF with potential. Ariza and Brewer would be a nice 1,2 combo at the SF slot.

3) Last trade is with Orlando. After we raped them for Ariza, I'm not sure they would want to deal with us again but we trade LO for

Turkoglu
Garrity
Dooling

Turkoglu has been playing well offensively and garrity and dooling are just to make the salaries match. Also, their contract is up at the end of this year.
Orlando makes this move to put Rashard back at the Sf position and to get LO's ability to facilitate the offense for them. Also LO showed that he plays well alongside a dominant Big, and Howard would help LO out in that respect.

Honestly i don't seeL Lo going anywere. i think his play will improve with Gasol here now. Now Lo does not have to be the 2nd option on the floor. But if we were to trade Lamar, i would like to see a Shooter..

1. Battier

2. Turkoglu

3. Haslem

4. josh smith

we dont have enough rosters spots for 1 and 3. and if we are going to trade him for financial reasons, why not just let him expire?

LO still has another year on his contract after this. And as far as roster spots, you could always cut the most expendable of the last year contracts that we take in.

The only deal I would consider for LO would be with Houston. I would offer LO for Battier,Head and a pick

I agree with KB24=MVP when he said we should trade for Battier, Turkoglu, Haslem or Josh smith........ But I also have a long list of poeple that we could go after.

Tayshaun Prince
Ron Artest
Bruce Bowen
Jason Richardson
Gerald Wallace
Mike Miller (shooter)
Michael Redd (shooter)
J.J. Redick (shooter)
Brent Barry (shooter)
Kyle Korver (shooter)

Well... I have thought one without receiving a Forward, but i think that we could do it and ill tell you why, this is the trade:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=246~617~44~2806~1707~598&teams=28~28~13~13~13~13&te=&cash=
Let's start:
To Lakers:
Calderon: He must be our starter PG, he is playing amazingly, he makes great games against Boston (that will help us in the Finals), he has a lot of heart, he is very unselfish, has a lot of efficiency, is the NBA leader in A/TO ratio with more than 5 asists per TO, well i could say more thing but let the stats talk:
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/jose_calderon/index.html and take into acount that these stats are with half of the season played, starting in the bench... Nothing more to say about Jose.
Nesterovic: A good C that will help us now that Bynum is injured and when Bynum comes back, Rasho could give energy and rest to our starters, he is another 7 footer, and he finishes his contract next year.
Baston and Dixon: are here fillers to make the trade works.

To Raptors:
Odom: the SF the need for the Starter position, a guy who can take rebounds, shot and also play good defense.
Fisher: To fill the gap of Calderon, initially I thought on putting Farmar, but he has more future and will help us in the early future.
The lose Calderon and let Tj Alone to play as a starter.
What do you think about it?

This would be awesome. It would bring some great defense our way.

Honestly thought, there is not much out there now that I would trade Odom for. He is now our glue guy because he is VERY unselfish. He may not be a good enough shooter for the SF position, but in situations like now where one of our bigs is hurt, it gives us good versatility because he can play PF.

I would trade Odom for Gerald Wallace though and I would especially trade Odom for Marion now.

Here goes. I'm really into this right now.

LO, Luke and Mihm for J. Kidd and Malik Allen.

Trade works on the trade machine.

Reasoning: LO's too pricey for a fourth option when Bynum returns. HIs size and length are great and everything but I hate LO at the 3 on the Lakers. He doesn't know where to be and stands around the 3 point line, not cutting or doing anything good. Also, his D is not great at the 3. He's got the length but not the speed to keep up with what is often the most athletic player on the opposing team (SF).

I love dropping LO's underachieving vibe for a big time player like Kidd. Now Walton is a LONG contract that we could also stand to be rid of. New Jersey will not likely see a better offer than what we're giving up - a very good PF for them, one who could make an impact in the east for sure, and Richard Jefferson's best friend and former teammate in Walton. Walton is certainly good enough to start which means they could move that monster contract in Vince Carter and focus the new team around RJ.

The only sticking point for us is Mihm because of his no trade, but as I posted in the Luke and Lamar thread, he should be the good soldier and rescind it in this case. We've supported him and picked him up when no one else would. He owes us. He won't ever see any more time on the Lakers with two all star caliber 7 footers, and a third defensive minded 7 footer off the bench in Mbenga. At least on NJ he'd have a chance to play (if he ever can). Regardless, he's only got one more year on his contract.

NJ gets two good players, not just one. And if reports are correct, they want LO. They just have to be willing to take on Luke's contract, but given all of the above rationale, I don't see that being much of a problem. Mainly it allows them to dump Vince Carter.

Malik Allen doesn't have to be included. It would just be nice to get back a serviceable, cheap big in the deal.

Lakers:

Odom+ Luke Walton

to Knicks for:

Stephon Marbury and first round lottery pick

Buy out Marbury and draft Donte Green.

Green would be a perfect fit for the lakers.

EDIT: I would only do this draft day if Green is still available at the Knicks pick.

No way fisher goes out of LA with the problem of his daughter.

Odom for Nesterovic+Dixon+Calderon works. Toronto can play Anthony Parker as a PG also (he played for Maccabi as a PG I think).

But i really think we are set at PG with Farmar and Fisher.....Calde it's an incredible player, but we don't need him right now (if it's a Pau Gasol type of trade i will man1 ).

My proposal:

Kirilenko

I would consider a trade for LO only for
1- ronron
2- battier
but I prefer to see how he play next to pau and drew

Odom for Artest +filler
Odom for Battier +Filler and maybe a pick

RONRON can be great but we everybody know him...

dusnt really solve the log jam at sf, but i think Q could be the missing piece to a complete squad. hes very much a me first player but the main complaint about odom is his passive game and his inability to shoot the rock from distance. jones is a 3 mil expiring filler. if anything, we can thro a couple 2nd round picks at them to sweeten the deal.

Over the summer, (cross fingers) Andre Iguadala and the sixers reach an impass and becomes available.

LO for a resigned Iggy. Salary cap hell for the Lakers but what an impressive and youthful lineup

Fisher/Farmar
Kobe
Iggy
Gasol
Bynum

If Iggy resings with 76ers I dont think they will trade him only for LO, but we can try, maybe if we give them farmar or another young player...

A) Wait next season, find another team in rebuilding mode, and nab their disgruntled all-star. If NJ is looking to cut salary, we should nab Richard Jefferson.

B) Trade Odom to a lottery team and cross your fingers for the #1 pick in the draft. (a la Norm Nixon/James Worthy style)

I would like to see Al Jefferson from Minnesota or Luol Deng from Chicago in a trade scenarios for Lamar. Both players are FA this summer and has expressed desire to play elswere. The addition of Paw Gasol will attract now many good players, to join the Lakers.

The other two players, we need to ship are Luke Walton and Chris Mihm.
It is obvious, Chris has same serious chronical medical problems and after sitting out 1,5 year he has not recovered yet. He is going to be just another Grant Hill in this league. That is why, we need to get rid of him, along with Lamar and Luke.

We can also look for Josh Smith and Josh Childress from Atlanta, Richard Jefferson from New Jersey or some other talanted younsters.

Seeing what some of you consider to be reasonable trades, I came up with some of my own that are equally as likely to happen (all according to the trade machine)

1. LO, Walton, Radmanovic to Boston for Kevin Garnett & Leon Powe

2. LO to Clevland for LeBron James (in offseason, after LBJ loses BYC status)

3. LO to Denver for Carmelo Anthony (in offseason, after CA loses BYC status)

4. LO & Vujacic to New Orleans for Chris Paul & Peja Stojakovic

5. LO to Seattle for Kurt Thomas and Kevin Durant

6. LO to Heaven for Jesus Christ (salary to be determined by a higher source)

If god is for us, who can be against us?

Is everyone forgetting about the availability of ****Vince Carter****??? He would fit well into the triangle offense andand at the small forward position.

The starting five would then be Fisher, Kobe, VC, PAU, and Bynum

killllaaaaaaaaaa

I like a trade for vince. I love Lamar and would hate to see him go but hey Vince Carter is avalable and Mitch should take advantage of it
