I don't know if trading for Carmelo Anthony is the crux of the issue in Denver. Unless, of course, they plan on trading for defensive players/scorers that can really help their cause in the deep west with an aging legend in Iverson. Carmelo Anthony is a star in the league. You can get ALOT for him. But who? Seemingly, all the stars you would want for him are locked in on good squads. I'd assume they'd want to win now with Iverson approaching his mid-late 30's (if they trade Mel). In the end, Melo isn't going anywhere. What they need is a coach who preaches defense. George Karl time has ran out in my opinion. If it was possible, I'd hire Riley for that job.
