Wait, you guys are rooting for the Hornets? I want the champs myself, I want to dethrone them. I don't want to face a young and hungry Hornets team that beats the Spurs and has all the confidence in the world because of it.

You kind of had to do what got you back into the game. Unorthodox offense with Jannero Pargo getting hot. If Chris Paul didn't run out of gas (he was tired from playing all 2nd half) then he wouldn't have missed some of his easy shots and thrown away a couple passes. CP3 ran out of gas and that was the end of their comeback attempt.

NO laid an absolute egg tonight. David West and Peja Stojakovic (per usual) were non-existent.

And that's why the Spurs are the champs, game over, thanks for playing kiddies. CP3 was great this playoffs, but you gotta take your lumps, he'll be back. Peja is not a big game player though, you know what you have with him, a 3 point shooter that disappears in the big games. What you have with Manu is the opposite.

That was pathetic... what Paul and West didn't want the ball? Why do you have a bench player taking the most important shots of the game?

No excuse for Peja's efforts tonight. Peja folds in the clutch.

I think Pargo is taking too much criticism here. CP3 and David West were completely out of gas. You could see it. They could have taken the shots but they were bricklayers. Pargo was the only player who could consistently get to the hoop in the 4th quarter. And for a while there, Pargo was looking unstoppable until the Spurs finally adjusted and threw 2nd and 3rd defenders in his direction.

I just don't really get Byron's thinking in that stretch. Yeah, he hit a couple of big shots, but you got Paul-West-Chandler on the same freakin' floor and he couldn't run a play for them when the lead was below double digits?

I don't know why people are blameing Pargo I would blame CP3 and West those guys didn't want anything to do with the ball in the 4th. At one point I thought CP3 was out of the game because Pargo was bringing the ball up every play. Wether it was Byron or CP3 someone made the decission to not put the ball in the hands of their best player.

Now the Lakers CHampionship Trophy will look much better with the heads of the defending Champs on the mantel jam2

This is why Kobe is the MVP. I know Paul was tired from playing big minutes, but he was completely invisible in the 4th quarter. I am glad the hornets lost.

Agreed.

LOL @ PEJA, the biggest choker ever.

Also goodbye D West you whining crybaby.

See ya Chandler, all you do is rebound and get pts off Chris Paul.

Sorry Pargo, you were the only one who had the balls and energy to shoot in the 4th.

If chris paul wanted the ball, he would have brought the ball up the court. And its not like Chris Paul was running to come get the ball....

Bottom line, if Chris Paul wanted the ball, he could and would have gotten it. Period.

he should have called for it like kobe did. if pargo still wasn't doing anything he should have talked to him during a timeout or something.

Peja has never been nor will he ever be clutch...that's why the Kings booted him...that's also why we beat the Kings...they had to rely on Webber (also not clutch) after Peja got gator arms with them.
