Pittsburgh (6-7) @ Carolina (6-7)
Now in all actuality, both these teams might already be realistically out of it, but the loser of this game is absolutely done. So basically this game is for the season and to keep hope alive. With PIT playing better lately, this could be a great game.
GuRu's prediction: Pittsburgh strings along that blue collar fanbase for another week of hope as they have been playing a lot better as of late. No matter who is quarterbacking CAR, they just seem a step too slow. I still dont think either team makes the playoffs though.
Dallas (8-5) @ Atlanta (7-6) - *Saturday Night*
Dallas coming off an embarrassing showing at home now has to travel to ATL for a short week match-up with ATL, winners of 2 straight. Romo has been shaky at best the last 2 games and the ATL D is starting to hit its stride. Injuries to Dunn and Norwood are definitely a concern though early word is Dunn should be good to go. Interestingly enough there is some talk of lining up Vick at RB, which is something Ive been calling for forever and would be exciting to see...
GuRu's prediction:Atlanta needs this one more than Dallas does. If they dont make a stand here @ home on a national stage then their season is all but over. Romo will be scrambling a lot as that ATL D-Line has been playing pretty good lately. I think ATL squeaks out a close one and makes the NFC playoff picture very dicey.
Philly (7-6) @ NY Giants (7-6)
A resurgent Jeff Garcia has the Eagles once counted out playoff hopes still very much alive. Eli Manning had himself a decent game as well and the Giants are getting healthy again. This is a showdown of epic proportions. Maybe not in the sense of talent or matchups, but the implications of this game are situationally huge. The loser just may find themselves on the outside looking in, especially if the loser is Philly because NYG will hold the tie-breaker over them after their thrilling OT victory earlier this year head-to-head.
GuRu's prediction: I think Philly surprises here. Theyve won 2 in a row and they have the chip on their shoulder here. This Philly team is finally starting to get whole as Garcia gains the confidence of his teammates and in himself. The NYG are as inconsitent as they come. I think Eli gives it away late....
Cincy (8-5) @ Indy (10-3) - *Monday Night *
Does everyone remember last year's point fest? What was it, 62 points at the half? Indy is on a clear downslide and their defense has been playing downright awful. They do get back home though where they are a better team. Cincy has been on fire however and firing on all cylinders. Winners of 4 striaght and some impressive wins. Slowly becoming an AFC darkhorse
GuRu's prediction: Im predicting another upset here. Cincy has just been too good offensively and will surely find ways to expolit that defense. It should be an entertaining shootout, but Cincy needs it more to ensure a playoff birth. A loss here for Indy though puts them in serious danger of losing their once thought assured 1st round Bye. _________________ I Offered My Honor
