I think they are laughing because the Dodgers have done a lot more this offseason then sign one pitcher. Add that to the fact that we already finished ahead of the Giants (who've had a bad offseason aside from this move) and it makes them a long shot to win the division IMO. That leaves the wildcard, and I doubt the west will be the best division in the NL. Then again maybe I'm just a bias Dodger fan. Either way, we'll see when the season starts. Thats why they play the games.

I´d rather have the Dodgers winning too mhihi

Its not like I´m a Frisco fan. I was just trying to be realistic. OK they are not a playoff lock but they have chances to make the playoffs.

Dont be silly, the NL West is more up for grabs than any division in baseball.

An interesting thing to note is that the Dodgers stole the Giants head trainers away this off-season. And he'll certainly be relieved to not have to attend to geriatrics.

Stan Conte? If that's who you "stole" from us, consider it a gift.

The Giants will skid into 3rd place - Padres and Dodgers will be fighting for the NL West title. I mean, you have to remember that the Giants have horrible defense, don't have a great batting lineup, and their roster is mostly a bunch of over the hill guys in their late 30s

kills me to agree. i think were gonna do better than our talent indicates but were still not gonna make much noise, then again, we are in the NL west.

NL West is a horrible division. 5 - 10 games over .500 will get you in the playoffs.

Let me say it again: Zito, Cain, Lowry, Morris, Sanchez, Hennessy

The only ones in that group over 25 are Zito and Morris and Zito is just 28.

Yeah, but the offense is their grandpas.

And not to nitpick, but Lowry and Hennesey are both over 25 as well. man12

Fixed it. mhihi

You're right about the O, but Roberts will get on base and steal a lot of bases. My biggest problem right now is Bonds. I just don't want them to sign him. Too much money!

homie thats all the dodgers need to strike fear for the world series. If the dodgers get a big bat like andruw jones. think about the possibilities. that teams is stacked with upcoming prospects.

they have an amazing pitching staff and one of the best offenses in the nl.

Oh the pain....At least Carl Pavano didnt actually have to pitch for us. Where as Zito never gets hurt and will be jerking around for 5+ years.

Billy Beane is a genius

Wow thats a lot of money for a bullpen player. I was watching ESPN yesterday and they were completely ripping into zito talking about how if it wasnt for his contract, he wouldnt even be in the Major Leagues right now, and is only a minor league pitcher.
