Giambi is a freak...he is even drilling lefties now, aswell.

We are something like 8-0 in day games...coincidence?

Again, last week was another week where we threw away some games.
2 pitchers that will be relied upon had bad starts (Unit and Wang). That being said, Unit redeemed himself on Sunday with a comfortable, 8 inning and 1ER performance.
Chacon remembered who the hell he is and Moose carried on with his good start to the season.

Player of the week:

10 for 17

Pitcher of the week:

7 IP, 4 hits, 1ER...
Nice to see him back to his form of last year.

Yanks have a chance to get a run going now. With Tampa and Toronto coming to the Stadium this week.
Dont blow it!!!

It was one of the strangest games I have seen for a while.

One minute, I was booing Unit and the next minute, I was cheering a run scored.

Strange week again. It seemed like we didnt play very well, but we took 4 of 6 and are now basically leading the division.
Unit still hasnt had a good outing against Toronto. His ERA is something like 16.00 in his last 4 starts against them.
Gary Sheffield got hurt this week, which enabled Giambino to move up the order.
2 games at Fenway coming up jam2

Player of the week

6 for 15...2HR's, 10RBI's, 9BB's. 1.482 OPS

Pitcher of the week
2 strarts.. 12 IP, 1.50 ERA, 14 SO's

Wang vs the knuckleballer tonight

I thought this was funny. Man, never miss an opportunity to stick it to your rival.

Quote:
The Boston Red Sox have finalized a trade to obtain catcher Doug Mirabelli from the San Diego Padres in exchange for catcher Josh Bard, minor-league pitcher Cla Meredith and cash, ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney is reporting.

Mirabelli, Tim Wakefield's normal catcher last season when Mirabelli was with the Red Sox, will be in the starting lineup Monday night against the Yankees.

The Yankees also tried to obtain Mirabelli to keep him from returning to the Red Sox.

AHAHAHA too bad we didn't get Mirabelli, but hey, atleast we won against Texas tonight, A-Rod had a nasty homer.

The week started off poorly...but ended nicely with 5 straight wins.
The Rangers had won 6 straight games before we strolled into Arlington. On the back of sweeping Tampa, we swept the Rangers. Playing 3 games (against Texas) of great offense and good starting pitching.
Out of nowhere, the Yankees are leading the division and have a chance to stamp some authority. With Boston coming into the stadium, for 3 games this week.
Unit vs Beckett will lead off the proceedings.

Player of the week

9 for 22, 4 runs scored

Pitcher of the week

4 games, 4.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 4 SO's

@BOS - L 7-3
@ BOS - POS

@TB - W 4-2
@TB - W 10-5

@TEX - W 8-7
@TEX -W 6-1
@TEX - W 8-5

Its gonna be strange to not see him in the line-up.

Hopefully Sheff comes back soon, because our outfield kinda worries me right now.

With Matsui and Sheffield out, I think they might pull of a trade. I herad they might go after Abreu and Hunter.

Even without those guys, we have one of the best line-ups in the Majors.

All the trades i hear and read about involve Cano. That is a major disagree disagree

Oh, so THATS why I love baseball.

4-0 Mets in the 9th..Wagner loses his collective mind and Andy Philips hits the game winning run in the 11th.

Mo was breaking bats again jam2
