Consider something.
Fabregas is the best Central Midfielder in the world. If you don't agree with that, you don't watch Football. Who else can match him in that position? There's no one. He's only 21 as well. There is no other player like him, no other player in the world who has the same ability. He's like a young Kobe if you are talking Basketball terms, there is no other player with the same unique ability. Maybe other players are just as unique in other positions, but not in the same position as Fabregas. Fabregas is the heart and soul of the Arsenal team and will probably be named captain next season. His passing, his vision, his leadership, his determination, his tackling, these are all amazing assests that no one else can do to his ability.
Then there's Ronaldinho. He's 28, fat, lazy, party boy and probably won't get on in the more physical English style of play. Ronaldinho has lost his edge, mentally and with his ability. He's prone to get into issues going out to clubs. He is not anywhere near the talent he once was, Jermaine O'Neal like.
I mean, I wouldn't swap a 21 year old Fabregas for a 21 year old Ronaldinho, so why on earth I would swap a 21 year old Fabregas for a 28 year old, washed up Ronaldinho even if there is cash involved would baffle me.
Barca wouldn't sell Bojan for the world, Arsenal won't sell Fabregas for the world. There are some players than are indespensable. Fabregas is definitely one of those guys. Whilst Ronaldinho, has very little value at the moment, if any. _________________ "I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot. I consider myself a huge Cesc fan...yet he is NOT the best central midfield player in the world, nor is he a top 5 player in the world...
Kaka gets the nod...
also Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo are easily better midfield players than Fabregas altho they are not central midfielder. _________________

He is 27...but he sucks bananas...he gained a lot of weight...he went from 170 to more than 200 lbs....he is slow, can't get past anyone, is always injured and the general consensus is that he can't even play professional soccer anymore...
only headlines in the papers about him are how he was drunk in this party or drunk in that club...
Barca probably won't even be able to get rid of him for free....
you know, he SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS. He doesn't just suck..he SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS |
you dont think he'll get over the slump? |
nope...not at Barca...at least not if not seriously something changes in his life...he has taken the same path as Adriano. He has the magic, he has the name that makes you fear him but he doesn't have any kind of a work ethic right now...
as I said he doesn't just suck....he SUCKS like a porn star....as of right now he is a cancer and a locker room distraction.
I want to see what pep Guardiola wants to do with him. One thing I know is that Pep is tough as nails. He won't allow ANYthing.
Barcelona wants to sell him but the problem is that nobody offers anything for him.
Guardiola wants to build a team with character, he doesn't have any respect for any names.
Thats why Barca is after their youth players...they want players that know Barca and also carry that catalan pride...
guys like Keita, Pique or Caceres are not big names, these are role players with character...and thats how it will continue....
I think the next guys he wants (and probably gets)
Daniel Alves (Barca is offering 32...Sevilla wants 35 at least but he is one of the best right back in the world, definitely a MUST for Barca)
A. Hleb from Arsenal (IMO a scrub but has the quickness and the mentality)
Cristiano Rolando is being monitored but Barca only will try to get him if he is actually put on the block...they have a 70 mio. offer for him if he becomes available)
Karim Benzema
Moutinho
they have so far sold
Giovani for like peanuts because Pep didn't like him
Zambrotta for 8 mio. and 3 mio. variables
Thuram, Ezquerro, Edmilson are also gone on free transfers... _________________

Trust me, as an Arsenal fan I can tell you, Hleb is a SCRUB. His problem is that he can't shoot at all, and he never will. I've never, ever, in my whole life seen someone that shoots as poorly as him. I'm serious, I've seen League 2 players who shoot better and I'm honestly not joking. He has amazing dribbling ability and a good mental attitude, but when it comes to shooting, OH MY GOD HE IS HORRIBLE.
He's one of the players I hope Arsenal get rid of. _________________ "I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot. " - Kobe Bryant. |

One thing Barca is the best in the world at is youth work....
Almost everyone who makes the first team doesn't disappoint...we are EASILY the best in that regard...
just the last few years
Xavi
Oleguer
Iniesta
Puyol
Guiza
Sergio Garcia
Luis Garcia
Messi
Valdez
Pique
Cesc
Bojan
Dos Santos
and in the next 1-2 years we are going to have a couple of more world class talents making the first team
Jeffrén Suárez
Gai Assulin
get used to those names... _________________

had you said "arguably" I would have said oj but without a doubt? you have to be kidding me because there is a lot of doubt....
Alves is not as big as Ramos but he is definitely RIGHT THERE and in my opinion better than Ramos. There is a reason Real Madrid has been after Alves for like 2 years (same as ManU, Chelsea and Milan).
| Quote: |
Real Madrid enter race to land Daniel Alves
By William Gray
Sevilla full-back Daniel Alves is desperate for his future to be resolved and has spoken of his "enthusiasm" for a move to Real Madrid, after Chelsea had a bid
The Brazil international said: "Any player would be enthusiastic about playing for Real Madrid. Any player who would deny wanting to play for Madrid would be a liar. I am no different, but it's not a decision that I have to take."
Alves looked to be heading to Stamford Bridge last week until it emerged the clubs had yet to agree a fee. Chelsea were expected to increase their offer after the Spanish club rejected an initial reported bid of £21.5 million, but there have been no new developments.
|
Real wanted him as well...he didn't reject them either as you can see but Real couldn't land him and they signed Garay (who is an argentinian talent) _________________

garay isnt even going to play with madrid next season, they loaned him back to santander.
alves is definitely up there with a few as being a great right back. but the best one in the world. i really dont think so, i see alves more as an attacking player than a defender. where as ramos is a solid defender. ramos is only 22 and has proven he can score for both madrid and spain. alves only scored twice last season and since called up for brazil has only scored once.
good luck with him next season, you may call him the best right back in the world but thats exactly what i heard from everyone that called henry the best forward in the world and he was a compete let down for barcelona _________________

Yeah I agree.
Watching Alves, his defending is lacking. In fact, I wasn't impressed too much with his attacking either. He is horribly overrated in my opinion. He's still a Top 5 Right Back, but not the best and probably not even second.
Sergio Ramos is very solid at RB and so is Bakary Sagna (no homerism, his attacking is meh but defensively, he is amazing, never loses concentration). I'd take Sergio Ramos over Alves in a mili second. Sergio Ramos is also capable at CB. In fact I'd rate him over William Gallas at CB.
Hey HitEmUp, what do you think of Royston Drenthe? _________________ "I'll do whatever it takes to win games, whether it's sitting on a bench waving a towel, handing a cup of water to a teammate, or hitting the game-winning shot. " - Kobe Bryant. |

I think Drenthe is a good young player, but he has a lot to learn. He's good, but I think he should've stayed another year in Holland IMO _________________ GO LAKERS!!!!!!! |

My favorite team, the Netherlands...have really CRUSHED the world champion and the vice WC. wow
I have always been a Holland fan, thats why I'm a Barca fan as well..because they had a lot of dutch players and dutch coaches....but they have really underachieved in big tournaments...
could this year be different? they have shown a gritt which I haven't seen since the 80s...they are actually fighting and winning the tackles... _________________

Love the Dutch too.
Anyhow, best "unnoticed" play of the tourney.....Van Nistelroy's "pirouette" along the sideline and pass to send Robben on the run that led to Van Persie's goal to make it 2-0 against France.
That play was freaking beautiful. _________________

but i'm in it for france. i'm part french and my favorite player is thierry henry, despite him being injured as of late. _________________ BYNUM BRIGAAADDEEEEE!!!

| Really upsets me that England could not qualify for this tourney. I still can't get over that. Since they aren't in, its Spain for me because they have a couple Liverpool players. |

Guess you jumped ship when the Dutch cut Babel for bohlarouz. (spelling?)....Kuyt + Babel. _________________

garay isnt even going to play with madrid next season, they loaned him back to santander.
alves is definitely up there with a few as being a great right back. but the best one in the world. i really dont think so, i see alves more as an attacking player than a defender. where as ramos is a solid defender. ramos is only 22 and has proven he can score for both madrid and spain. alves only scored twice last season and since called up for brazil has only scored once.
good luck with him next season, you may call him the best right back in the world but thats exactly what i heard from everyone that called henry the best forward in the world and he was a compete let down for barcelona |
Hey HitEmUp, what do you think of Royston Drenthe? |
i like drenthe, i think he has potential. just sucks that schuster doesnt really have any confidence in him to play him much _________________
