TORONTO -- Raptors GM, AussieLakerFan, is making no secret of the teams desire's to draft Rudy Gay. He had only one statement to make in response to what was recently said to be speculation. "We will do whatever it takes to bring Rudy Gay to Toronto". That is all he had to say on the matter, even after being asked if he could be more specific on his plans, he only added "What ever it takes." very mater-of-factly.
When asked about the future of point guard Mike James, he was also very straight to the point. "We will move Mike, hopefully it will be somewhere that he wants to be, but, we have some needs that will be the first priority, Mike's demands will be second." There are rumours circulating regarding that destination, Houston is obviously where Mike has been publicly touting as his choice, AussieLakerFan said that Los Angeles is also on Mike's radar. "The Lakers have a number of players that are interesting to us, we didn't get to see many of them in action the last time the two teams met, but, we know they're there" He said jokingly, obviously in reference to the 81 points Kobe Bryant lit them up for in January. _________________

Ap Los Angeles
It appears as if the Los Angeles Clippers are very interested in moving up into the first round for the upcoming draft, they have brought in some high profile picks that have been considered Lottery picks, but no names have been made public. Word out of their camp is that they are unhappy with Corey Maggette and he could be included in a package that includes either picks or players. No Clipper officials could be reached for comment at this time |

ATLANTA - The Hawks organization will not confirm or deny and negotiations until they are completed. Management is committed to turning this once moribund franchise around and returning it to elite status in the NBA. No stone will be left unturned in the pursuit of talent including the draft, free agency and trades. The front office has asked that all personal refrain from discussing ongoing bargaining and will not hesitate to remove themselves from negotiations with other teams that do not heed their request for secrecy. _________________

Perhaps I didn't make it clear in the title -- just use this thread to react to the rumors posted by Vescey. Like AussieLakerfan did to Vescey's rumor of Toronto being interested in Rudy Gay. Confirm/deny the rumors here. If you want to ignore them, just don't post in this thread.
If you want to make a press release unrelated to these rumors, just make a new thread. _________________

Atlanta Hawks management bristles at talk suggesting players don't want to be traded there. The new ownership is dedicated to turning the franchise around and will be a strong player in the off-season. We have good position in the draft. The checkbook is out and ready for top quality free agents. Trades will be made to jettison those who are not prepared to work hard and long for the organization and bring in players with the right blend of talent, attitude and experience. Atlanta's position as the doormat to the NBA is from now on a thing of the past. _________________

The Knicks are outraged at Vecseys implications, but at the same time find them hillarious. They are working to identify the leak, because while some of the info in his column may be true, some of it is absurd. _________________

| The Lakers would like a veteran guard on this roster with playoff experience. The question if Sam is the main guy is definately up in the air, as well as his potential role. No comment on any dollar figures that might be discussed with Sam and his agent. |

| As for Van Exel - We feel as though we can do better, and we aren't sure if a tenure in LA would be the best thing for either party. |

Houston Chronicle: In a press conference that was held this afternoon at the Toyota Center, the Houston Rockets unveiled their 2006-2007 Home Alternate Jerseys. Houston All-Star Tracy McGrady was at the event in which he was bum barded by the media upon recent rumors that Rockets were looking to package him in a deal for another superstar. "I don't know what yall talking about" said McGrady, "This is the first I'm hearing of this."
Houstons other All-Star, Yao Ming, failed to show up to the event due to personal reasons. When asked if Yao's absence had anything to do with the team, Rockets General Manager hZm explained, "(Yao's) absence has absolutely nothing to do with the team. I talked to him a couple hours ago and he explained to me that he has some personal matters to attend to."

| As is policy, the Utah Jazz can neither confirm nor deny the rumors of a Andrei Kirilenko trade. However, the organization will make Coach Jerry Sloan available to press on Sunday May 21, 2006 to address the allegations of a rift between himself and certain players. The organization feels that these allegations must be dealt with and that the public should be reassured that all is fine in Jazz Land. |

B-ter Vescey's rumors and comments are scandolous and simply untrue. It is true that the Sonics are looking to shake the roster up a bit, but for a winning attitude more than anything. Sonics new management has a commentment to winning and turning Seattle around, hopefully in a single offseason. That is all that the Sonics organization has said and that is what they will stick to. -- Sonics GM: Snake Eyes _________________

Whoever leaked that blockbuster trade info has no idea of what the Lakers are thinking. Barring some miraculous turn of events, expect to see Lamar and Andrew back next year. As GM I have personally contacted each of them and told them to go about their business and prepare to start next season as Lakers. Ignore everything else.
The Laker organization is furious |

TORONTO -- Toronto Raptors GM, AussieLakerFan, told reporters today that they have no intent on moving Charlie V after his successful rookie season. "We plan on teaming Charlie up with Rudy Gay this next season and hope that those two along with Chris Bosh will become a successful nucleus for the future. We are expecting to make some moves, we have some holes to fill in our starting roster. We are not sure where that leak originated, but we believe it's not in our camp, because they are not the players we are trying to obtain. Someone has the details wrong."
These statements lead us to believe that they are in fact talking to the Lakers, but not about Lamar Odom or Brian Cook. Our lakers sources couldn't confirm any serious talks between the two clubs. _________________

With only a few hours left until trades can officially be made, rumors are flying everywhere.
KG, Bron, Arenas, AI, T-Mac...all the big names are making an appearance tonight.
I'm glad Vescey is in the front lines, risking his life, to bring us the up to the minute rumors. _________________

Why would San Antonio and Dallas look to break up their respective cores. Why would Cleveland or Orlando give up YOUNG franchise talents like Lebron and Dwight.

| See people aren't doing this right. Don't trade the best player on your team for another star. Thats dumb. Keep your core build around it. That is what a GM is supposed to do. You don't see Kobes and Dirks flying around every year. Think about it. |
