I didn't know this, but I'm not surprised. He did seem unique sometimes in the attire he'd wear. Love REM by the way though. Favorite songs: Everybody Hurts, Man On The Moon, Losing My Religion, It's The End Of The World, and The One I Love. |

Those people care. Just imagine, we have tons of people here in CL overall as well as the OC, even more lurkers we don't know the number of, but out of all those people, you never know, there could be plenty of kids who are homosexuals and want to know this kind of stuff. Mr. Stipe's quote makes sense. Celebrities coming out of the closet usually always has its positives. Most celebrities are looked up upon by many people, and in this case, when it's something homosexual, that encourages & helps a lot of their fans or homosexuals in general to be more comfortable with who they are. |

Like he even said, he just assumed it was fairly obvious, he just never "officialy" said anything I guess. I do seem to remember him saying in an interview a looong time ago that he was bi.
I'm hoping to get tickets to see REM w/ Modest Mouse when they go to Toronto. REM's been one of my favourite bands for long time. Automatic For The People is one of the best records ever made. Anyone who hasn't been exposed to a lot of REM, check out that record, it's solid from start to finish.

Yes, yes, no. I never said I hadn't heard of REM, what I was emphasizing that I didn't recognize any of the singers by face, nor was I interested in them enough to notice the gay guy.

Sorry if I came off in a mean way, I didn't mean to at all, haha. I just re-read what I said and I sounded like an complete a-hole, totally didn't mean to come off like that. My bad. For the record though, those youtube songs... I didn't know they were REM lol I just have heard the songs somewhere.
