The Laker starters include Devin Green, Marcus Douthit, Andrew Bynum, Jordan Farmar, and Von Wafer. The Lakers started sluggishly and were down by 16 in the 2nd quarter, largely due to giving extended playing time to the non-starting Laker players. The scoring run to cut the lead didn’t come to late in the 3rd, eventually pulling a 2 point 4th quarter lead. The Laker coaches tend to put the best players of the game in the closing minutes, and within the last 5 minutes of the game, Green, Douthit, Bynum, and Farmar were in. Wafer was subbed out, as Pinnock had himself a very good game. Pinnock created a shot with under 7 seconds left, pushing the ball up-court and taking a pull up jump-shot from 15′, wide right. In the end, turnovers from poor execution from Douthit and Green cost the Lakers the lead, and eventually the win.
