Much closer of a game than it should have been because our bench didn't show up tonight.
But a Ws a W and I'll take it.
Big ups to Bynum for his performance all night. To Odom for picking it up in the 3rd. And Fish and Kobe for putting this away in the 4th. Oh yeah...almost forgot, Kwame for playing much better than he usually does. _________________

JO: -25 tonight, next closest Pacer was Kareem Rush at -19, next closest Pacers starter was Mike Dunleavy at -11.
Kobe and Drew lead the Lakers with +32 and +30, followed by Lamar and D-Fish at +27. Ariza leads the bench with a -7. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

I loved the part where Kobe just toyed with Dunleavy on the perimeter and then calmly sunk a three in his grill. Horrible shooting night for Kobe, should be second guessing another three point chuck...looks at Dunleavy, scoffs a bit...and then just drills it.
Drew owning Dunleavy at the rim had to second place honors for the night.....man, I love making fun of Dunleavy.
Third place honors have to go to his sorry little flop in the first quarter and then his little PMS routine which got a T and allowed a Fish to tie a game in which Indy opened with a 9-0 run. |

Bench was pretty sorry today....Jordan and Critt looked confused and Jordan's shot was off, while Kwame was next to worthless in the post.
They Pacers were using their starters on our second unit to try to get back into it....got it down to seven. And then Phil put the starters back in.
What happened after that was just bad comedy...and a beautiful display of just how much better the Lakers are than the Pacers. |

Great game by the starters despite a bad cold start. The 2nd unit needs to pick up the pace to give the starters some rest. I hope the Lakers don't lay an egg by looking ahead to NO. Having D-fish back is such a blessing. I remember those agonizing nights watching Smush play. |

| Our bench really struggled tonight, and let the Pacers come back in different occasions. Thankfully, Kobe, Fisher, and Bynum showed up tonight. |

Ha ha that was hilarious. Dunleavy Jr. just FLIPPED OUT when he found out why the call was on him, that was great, Stu was like 'just accept it and move on, don't get kicked out, wow'. He was moving the whole time anyway, it was the right call. Anyway, a W is a W, I'll take it even on a bad bench night, gotta win your home games especialy. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

Kobe really bouncd back after seemingly nothing could fall for him in the first half. He and Fisher dominated the fourth when Phil finally put the starters in. Bynum really carrief us, especially in the first half. LO had a strong second half as well. Second unit didn't play particularly well. They need to step up. Starting Ariza and having Luke play with the second unit really would help. Phil also needs to tighten the leash on Javaris. Way too many rookie mistakes tonight. Good game nonetheless. Next two are huge. _________________

Also, I loved when Bynum got pushed in the back by JO while was catching the ball with no call, he looks at the ref in disgust and then just goes up and under and slams it home with anger and gets the and one. It was like 'fine you're not gonna call this crap I'm just gonna take it out on the rim', loved that. Bynum with 21 in the first HALF, JO with 13 for the game. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

Bynum's got 10 already, really working the O glass well. Being fouled and also going up a bit soft at times. Needs to go up stronger and dunk it more.
Walton is playing very inconsistent. Though he knocked down a 3.
Odom's rebounding well, looks focused.
Bryant's shot is off and he's making some bad plays. A good pass to Andrew though. Seems to find him early.

Good early analysis. |

I've been tripping on that, too. Total moon balls out there. It's great! No, I don't remember anyone with quite THAT much arch on it.
Also, am I exaggerating or is Krummy not the absolutely most embarrassing offensive player we've seen in a Laker jersey in a couple decades. I mean he makes Samaki Walker's offense almost palatable. I swear, he makes Mark Mad Dog look skilled. |

I suggested Jamaal Wilkes, but Chris Mullin also had a high arcing shot. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions! |

What's even more funny is he's serious. He only comments when Kobe does poorly and its always remarks like this. _________________
