Did U.S. take the clocks 1 hour back? Or will they do it tonight?

I'm not seeing anything about Boozer being out. Is he injured, or what?

Someone told me that he's not playing tonight. But I can't verify this info. Let's just assume he's playing.

I concur. I'll await confirmation on the Boozer thing, but if he is out we better get a win.

MASSACRE'S MATCHUPS - UTAH JAZZ @ LA LAKERS PREVIEW

Coming In:

After dominating the Phoenix Suns, one of the NBA's elite, 119-98, the Lakers head back to Los Angeles for a meeting with the 2-1 Jazz . Recent games between Los Angeles & Phoenix will tell you that the Lakers need a team effort to take down the Suns -- and that's exactly what they received.

Kobe Bryant was held to16 points on 6-15 shooting, but the Lakers benched backed him up with 67 points - the most a Laker bench has put up in over a decade.

"It was a good win for us coming off of the tough one in Houston. We came in here and played hard and played smart. We need wins like this to get to another notch. We have to have wins like this where we gut it out and play hard and get a big win on the road," Bryant said.

Like anyone will tell you however, you can't lose focus on your next opponent - who happen to be the reigning Northwest division champions. The last time these two met, in the pre-season, Utah spanked Los Angeles 102 - 81. The Lakers started out 3 - 19 from the field, facing a 26-6 deficit which they we're never able to recover from.

Los Angeles took 2 out of 3 meetings with Utah last season.

Massacre's Matchup:

Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers - Sloan will undoubtedly place Kirilenko on Bryant like he's done so many times in the past. Kobe erupted for 52 points the last time Utah visited Los Angeles, will he give them more of the same? Predicted stats: 33 points, 5 assists, 6 rebounds.

Andrei Kirilenko, Utah Jazz - WIthout a doubt one of the game'a most versatile forwards, can he put the clamps on Bryant? Predicted stats: 13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocked shots.

Darkhorse matchup: Andrew Bynum vs. Paul Millsap. Two young studs off the bench for each team, look to see how they play against eachother if given minutes at the same time.

Potential Starters:
:
G: Deron Williams
[Career vs. LAL: 13.2 PPPG, 5.2 APG, 3.0 RPG, 2.3 TO, 45.3 % FG]

Alright, just a quick update. I was told that Boozer did not feel well today (don't know anything specific), but he'll probably play. Maybe he just had a headache or something. Oh well. we'll just have to beat them anyway. man9

lookin at the matchups...bynum does not match up well with any of the jazz players...and vice versa...resulting in phil playing kwame more than bynum tonight...

btw, any one notice we played very well and won when we didnt play cook and mihm?

and i'd like to see javaris out ther against the bigger and stronger deron williams...

I think Lakers will get this one after a devastating home loss to the rockets...and then a resurging road victory over phoenix

Packers win! 7-1 ladies and gentlemen.

If the Lakers can find a way to win it could turn to be a splendid Sunday.

key to game: exploit the SG weakness, moving without the ball.

-the double will be on kobe, so players like turiaf, fisher have to hit open shots, get easy layups inside. it will be there. if this is done, kobe will have at least 10-12 assists tonight.

-defensively, swarm the perimeter, utah is not a big post up team, even okur likes the 3, kwame, turiaf and bynum must control the boards, no second chance points.

It's better when a team has their full squad.

1. Hou - Season opener; given.

2. Phx - Basically, our current rivals; given.

Utah is alright, but they're not an exciting team to watch vs. the Lakers anymore (Shaq/Kobe vs Malone/Stockton). It's just a game, we talk and discuss.
