Lamar had 19/17 but he didn't seem to have any impact whatsoever. He's just that type of player.
And so we're 9-8 now. Awesome. I didn't think it was possible but it seems like no matter what happens, we're always going to be a .500 team. This is the 4th straight year where we just can't put together any form of consistency. It's so incredibly frustrating to watch these boneheads commit novice errors game after game. |
He made some baskets when we were behind in the 3rd, that's impact IMO. |

At this rate less than "40." |
Well, not really. At this rate - 43 wins. |
Wasn't basing this off our wonderful 9-8 start but I hear you. |
I know man. Sorry... I was just trying to be positive, but it's kinda hard. I hear you, trust me. _________________

Yes, I'm looking forward to that 10 game, 2-1/2 week Kwame non-injury stretch as well.
Of course, it'll be followed up with the 18 game, 4 week Kwame hangnail injury stretch. |

Relax, that was a good shot and he missed it. |
If only he did that regularly......... |
I understand he is not consistent... I know that as much as the next person.
But we are talking about this particular game... 19/17? thats crazy numbers. |

Okay, so Kobes 28 points were useless and so were Drews 7 blocks. Thats fine... I know you have to win the game and that is all you play for... but dont blame this loss on Lamar. This was everyones fault and today Lakers lost to a better team. _________________ - Scuse me while I kiss the sky! |

All those ridiculous turnaround jumpers during that stretch in the 4th killed us. We were getting the stops but no buckets because of terrible shots like that. |

Indeed.
Seemed like he was forcing way many jumpers. _________________

Kobe's forced jumpers kept us in this game early on but that's what killed us at the end. Odom played pretty well. And all our players being intimidated even if Howard was no where around hurt quite a bit too. _________________

Well obviously he's frustrated after a loss.
We've lost 2 in a row to superior teams and we fought hard in this game. If you're implying that he's frustrated with our team, you're obviously mistaken because Kobe was praising his team mates and having a great time a few games ago when we beat Denver. _________________

We were 7-3. Since then we have gone 2-5. Of course he's going to be frustrated. He's starting to notice the trend that has happened over the last few years.
THIS TEAM IS INCONSISTENT.
Giving up is too extreme to say, but I have pretty much come to terms with the fact that this Lakers squad will never be relevant. |

i think evan is missed more than you guys think..
bynum and farmar seems to be really good frds with him. Sometimes chemistry like this really brings out the potential of the team. |

Terrible team game.
First off Lamar sucked. Anyone who is getting excited by his rebound numbers doesn't know basketball. The ONLY reason that he had half of those rebounds is because they had Bynum boxing out Dwight to make sure that he had no chance on the offensive boards(Hence he had 0 offensive rebounds.) So rebounds that he normally would have had went to Odom b/c he was holding Dwight out instead of making an attempt on the rebound. He sucked from the 3 and kept putting it up and had 4 TO's.
Kobe played like crap and became very selfish towards the end of the game. It wasn't a blowout that the only way we could have a chance at winning was Kobe hitting an insane amount of shots. The lead was 1 or 2 with 3 minutes left. If your shots not falling and your well defended if not by one, than two or three players PASS the ball. Look inside for a high percentage shot. Bynum got 1 touch the whole second half which is unacceptable.
As for people that were saying Dwight was "owning" bynum at no point in the game did that happen. Bynum went 10/6/7 in 28 minutes while Dwight was 17/8/5 in 36 with NO offensive rebounds. At least 10 of Dwights points were against Mihm or Turriaf when bynum was out of the game.
They have to learn to play SMART TEAM basketball before this team goes anywhere. |

Wrong Kobe's 28 points become useless when it takes him 26 shots to get them. |

i miss the dominant kobe like last yr if he got 19 in 1st quarter i would guarntee a 50 or 60 pt nite or maybe 40 minimum if he goes cold dont u guys agreee???
now its like he gets 20 in a half and struggles to get 30 i mean we need him to score about 3-5ppg more i think??? |

i actually agree. i do think he's gonna' need to be scoring more for us and going 45+ and all those crazy scoring streaks like he had last year if this team keeps playing, struggling, and being inconsistent as it is.. no doubt!
i'm pretty sure that'll come at some point in the season. don't know exactly when, maybe even sooner than we think... cuz imo we can definitely use those HUGE games of his RIGHT now... |
