| People can complain that we shouldn't have blown this and that lead, the bottom line is that we won. If it was any other team, then we wouldn't have let up in the 3rd quarter, it's that simple. |

Lamar is a horrible 3rd option. With a player that actually impacts the game making that kind of money, we wouldn't lose leads like this. _________________

Some of you love complaining. Kobe had a phenomenal game and you guys still blame it on him. 39/11/8/2steals/50%fg. It wasn't his fault the knicks came back. _________________

Interesting stats: in the ASSISTS department:
Kobe Bryant = 8
New York Knicks = 7

Good game guys, this was a combination of the Lakers and their troubles at putting teams away and the few remaining Knicks that still try. I think members on here should see that though our team is in shambles, we still have guys that come to play. Nate gets a bad rap, but you can't tell me he didn't outplay a lot of Lakers today. D-Lee always comes to play, Malik Rose is a veteran who'll never slack off, Renaldo Balkman didn't get much time but he always plays hard, and J-Craw always plays. I think it says something when you can go 0-7 in the first half with 1 point, and get that hot in the second half. But Kobe saved the Lakers once again, makes me think what would really happen if he was traded. _________________

ive seen this team let up too many times against other teams not named the knicks to make a statement like that, when youre up 25 halfway thru the 3rd, you shouldnt let it get down to 1 point in the 4th, i love the win but it was lucky, if it was the mavs, suns, spurs, rockets, jazz, warriors, nuggets, clippers, cavs, celtics, magic ... hell how bout 30 other teams that would probably just beat us in that situation _________________

Very true. It was just dumb to take Kobe out of the game. He wouldn't have allowed the Knicks to come back in this one |
What do you mean? He was solely responsible for allowing them to come back.
I mean I know the other guys should play defense. ... but let me tell you, if you've EVER played basketball, and you have guy who handles the rock and shoots and dominates the ball like that without it ever touching your hands .... you lose interest and you lose focus.
And you lose focus on BOTH ends of the floor. |

First outscoring a team through 3 quarters, then out-assisting a team through the whole game... seriously, why are we so picky??? _________________ "I've learned that I have the strength to change."

Why doesn't Isiah just start the bench. At least if the Knicks lose, the fans can see players who give it their all. If the starters want to play, make 'em earn it. _________________ Please Read the HDTV Media FAQ http://www.clublakers.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=51627

Three things:
1) Kobe had a sensational game. BUT, he needs to make better decisions. Those stupid [Swearing is not permitted at Clublakers. You must edit this post prior to submitting.] three's with Spike yelling at him was one of the things that allowed the Knicks to gain momentum.
2) I don't get what Phil Jackson is thinking. Crittenton playing the point in crunchtime?? And Kobe should have been back in the game earlier.
3) Lamar with a bone-headed play in the crunch. AGAIN. This guy has got to be permanently damaged from his bong-smoking days. |
