I can't believe what happen...it was 112-111 after Kobe hit that three-pointer....if we have played some defense on their three-point shooters, then get the ball back with about 6 seconds left. And hit the game winner.
Wow, what a waste of a 26 point come back. A come-back is worthless without the victory.
The lakers better be smelling blood tomorrow and blow the warriors on their home court.

I'm in utter disbelief right now. We wasted 2 amazing shots by Kobe by playing unacceptable defense. Why are you leaving Jackson wide open? If anything, you keep your eye on him the 2nd time after what he previously did.
This is pathetic. |
Same. If we don't beat the living hell outta them tommorrow in oakland with kobe taunting the crowd after our record setting blowout and popping his jersey, I think I'll go ballistic. |
I'm gonna bet this isn't your first season watching the Lakers...
So you know that the Lakers are not going to blow anyone out on the road on a 2nd night of a back to back.
I think the Lakers will come out stronger, but they aren't blowing out the warriors. It'll probably be a close game again, and hopefully the NBA gods will put this back in LA's hands... unless of course LA doesn't matchup well with GS anymore (b/c their big guys keep getting hurt) |

let me break down that last possession FWIW:
lakers came out in a zone
fish and lamar were standing there arguing who should be on jackson. then baron d passes jackson the ball and they both hesitate to close out and its too late.
zone? you got to be freaking kidding me guys. i'm pretty sure that was a 3-2 zone, i replayed it |

Jesus Christ, when will these idiots learn? If you're up by 3, defend the freaking 3! If you're down by 1, keep it a one possession game and DEFEND THE 3! right then i blame it on phil. he was probably gambling on GS to miss their shot. dumb move. |

Well we really aren't a championship team without Gasol and Bynum so not surprising? We're missing our 2nd and 3rd best players right now. Not to make excuses, but losing this game with those guys out doesn't mean we aren't a championship calibur team. _________________

Players that need to be exiled in the 4th quarter, Luke+Radman. Neither can play a lick of defense and it killed us down the stretch. It's times like this where Ariza or even Newble would be key. They could lessen the load on Kobe and let Kobe stay on Baron or Jackson, forcing them to go to Ellis. |
Um... Gasol and Bynum are not playing... |

Lakers deserved to lose this one, heck did they ever lead after the 1st quarter?
Move onto tomorrow.
The schedule is so heavily in their favor and LA like the young team that they are and choking it away. |

A positive post:
the rebounding of Kobe (14) and Lamar (22!) shows that we will eat this team for breakfast, lunch, and dinner when we get Gasol and Bynum back.
This team will only be able to rely on their three point shooting because Bynum and Pau will protect the paint like no other.
I was a bit afraid of this team going into the playoffs because I thought they would do things to us like they did to Dallas, but now, I have zero fear of this team. If we can get a win against them tomorrow, I will be happy, but even if we don't win, I still won't fear them. |

I hate these types of losses. It gives people ammunition to say the Lakers aren't contenders or that they'll never win a championship with this group.
We pretty much fell in the Warriors' trap early on by trying to run with them. When the Lakers get Gasol and Bynum back, I doubt they will try to run with anyone considering it won't be necessary.
With that said, I hope the Warriors and their fans underestimate us come playoff time because they will be in for a treat. _________________

I didnt say he played a bad game, he burned us plain and simple. But dont tell me to be quiet, ill say what i want, disliking someone isnt against the rules on this forum. _________________

The box score tells a lot.
GS shot better from the field, better from 3, more FT's...
Kobe was a -6 for the game.
Lamar & Kobe were 19-49 for the game!
Golden State had 11 turnovers. Ronnie & Lamar had 10 between them! |

Props to Jackson, he played a great game |
Yeah this "trash thug" talk is ridiculous. Sure he beat us, but that's on us. Jackson played great and two monster games by Odom and Kobe are overshadowed. Thats the way it works, a win is all you're playing for. |

I turned off that garbage. Nothing frustrates me more than LA playing as poorly as it did in the first half. I knew they'd expend ridiculous energy trying to come back but fall short. This isn't the Sonics they were playing. |

| great game guys, I will be at ORacle tomorw watching firsthand, and if tonight was any indication of tomorrow, I think imma get my money's worth. Kobe was amazing, the W's were infuriating me in the 2nd half. They put on a clinic in the first half with Ellis and Stephen Jax, but it was all jumpers in the 2nd. I give credit to Monta and SJax to get to the line at the end of the game and get us points, and its rare where a player matching blows with Kobe at the end of game, and thats what Jax did. I gotta give some love to Azubuike cause he really made Kobe work. He made him into a volume shooter, and i think defended him very well. A couple of points from the Lakers point, wtf has happened to Luke Walton? He was pretty good last yr, shooting the ball, passing, but it seems like this yr he's way out of it. Jordan Farmar is pretty quick and impressed me with his hops, but he seems very hesistant to pass to Kobe. Lamar Odom is maybe the best rebounder in the league behind Dwight and Camby, he was A BEAST. Anywayz good game guys and we'll clash again tomorw |

A positive.
The Lakers didn't fall too far in the standings after Pau went down. They may los tomorrow and take 2nd in the pacific but still are in the thick of it with home court for most of the rest of the season.
Soft euro Pau should return any day now.
At least they get softies after the tough game tomorrow. |
