I know you've all waited for it - but it is UP AND RUNNING! (sort of)
You can listen on the embedded flash player on the frontpage and on iTunes / Winamp with this dedicated RSS reader: http://feeds.feedburner.com/theclfeed.
Enjoy and please give comments in here.
Now .. I've been up all night trying to get this up, so I'm going to disappear for a few hours. When I come back, I want to see HUNDREDS of downloads and positive feedback :)
Also .. to those of you waiting on FA negotiations .. now that this is done, I'll get to it tonight after work. _________________

Listening right now, congrats to getting this up and running fellas
A few comments so far:
The Mihm vs Kwame arguement is a bit ridiculous. First off, Mihm doesnt have the stamina or ability to play as many min as a marquee center in the league. He also simply dissapears at times, so applying his limited stats to 40 min isnt very realistic, I have serious doubts he would avg 16 and 12 as implied. There is no mention of defense, and while a defensive PG would help Mihm stay out of foul trouble, he is often times flat footed and late to help out, hence the foul problems.
In terms of trading one of them, I disagree that teams will want Kwame more than Mihm. Many GMs view Mihm as a consistent player, a good backup or serviceable starter. Hes also a cheap expiring K that teams will be interested in, instead of Kwame's overpaid salary. The trade market is definitely more favorable for Mihm, assuming he is ready to play. Laker fans are excited about Kwame because we dont think hes reached his potential yet, and can possibly dominate in the near future if he puts it all together. Hes a project. Whereas Mihm, we pretty much know what were getting, he doesnt have much room for growth IMO. _________________

Assuming that Odom has to play PF, I think Kwame is the better fit to pair with him because Kwame is a better man-on-man defender and would take the better post player of the other team.
I do like that you brought up the bird rights issue, because I think some people have forgotten that. The only problem with having Mihm's bird rights is that it potentially screws up "the 2007/2008/2020" plan assuming that Brown is kept. _________________

Im also not sure about this Phil Jackson equation. Theres no way we couldve guaranteed 8 wins last year, not to mention losing several close games this year as well. Its impossible to project that kinda stuff, and there is no doubt in my mind that this team played smarter, made better adjustments and improved on their effort from last season. That kinda stuff doesnt show up in the stat sheet, but this team was definitely more competitive. I felt like we could beat anyone in the league on a given night with Phil and Kobe, not the case last season.
I like this mod discussion forum though, very cool. Thanks for taking the time to record these guys _________________

im with Da Veinticuatro with the Kwame vs Mihm issue. I dont think many teams value Kwame that much. He still has a somewhat an overpaid contract. I think teams still view him as the same Kwame who cant catch passes and not living up to his potetional. On the other hand, Mihm is cheap and servicble. In terms of trade value, i think teams would be more willing to get Mihm more so than Kwame.
As for the Phil issue...im also with Da Veinticuatro. Its tough to win 1 championship in a row with the right players. Its another to win 9. You mines well discredit other coaches whos had top players ala Red, Riley, ect.. _________________

First, congratulations. I realize you guys worked hard on this. Thanks to everyone who was involved.
Secondly, congratulations to bhatta's sister who did the voice over. (j/k)
Im only about 15 minutes in but I have to say I wish I would have the chance to be involved (previous committment).
bhatta, as much as i like and respect you, i strongly disagree with most everything youve said so far. Presnted well with good info though. Just dead wrong. _________________ I Offered My Honor

Just finished listening the whole way through.
The Forum section was the best by far, Id like to see more of that.
Honest opinions? No offense intended...
Sky was on point, just as expected. Much of it was regurgitation from what Ive heard from him on the site, which is to be expected (and in no way is that a bad thing), but it was also cool to put a voice to the face. Sky seemed prepared and handled himself well.
Jsm also was very prepared. Good delievery, diggint he little southern drawl to set him apart. I felt he was just reading some things off a paper in the draft section, but other than that I liked most when he just talked freely and let us see his personality.
LD2K (Chris) came off good. He too was knowledgeable, and probably the best at setting up a personality some Laker fans could relate to. When he was giving an opinion, you knew it was him. Plus, the knowledge was solid and delievered well. No stutters or unsure answers.
hZm did a decent job, but he needs some improvement on getting his opinion in, and making his presence known. He seemed a bit unprepared when it came to the BAE question, and there was a lot of "um's". "uh", pauses. Im not holding anything against anyone though, everyone is new at this.
Nugget had some technical problems, he started out strong though. I wish there was more to judge him on.
And finally, bhatta. Distinctive voice, sounds comfortable as host, definitely nice segues into topics, switching to someone's turn to speak, callback on info, ect. Great job as host. I didnt care for your arguments much, but that matters little, you still presented them well. Id love to debate you to the death. Then me and jsm would crash your funeral for chicks, Chazz Feingold style. _________________ I Offered My Honor

bhatta, I dont like your argument about Phil Jackson mismanaging time for Chris Mihm. Chris Mihm was always in foul trouble, and thats why he wasn't on the floor longer. _________________ GoalLineBlitz (Manute Bol- LB) http://goallineblitz.com/game/signup.pl?ref=298765

Just finished listening to the whole thing. Thanks for "feeding" us , I like that play on words.
Overall, it was better than I expected for the first podcast. I know that bhatta was having problems with the sound of the forum section, but most of it was "listen-to-able", but there was some point in the draft section I believe it was when JSM was talking and I thought there was a light saber battle going in the background , but it was good overall.
Good information, and good dicussion.
Keep up the good work guys, always appreciated. _________________
