If they throw kirelenko at him like Enver threw Martin, they'll just lose their best shot blocker.

Ronnie Brewer will be guarding him. He's a good defender but Kobe has the upperhand. That said, who knows what will happen? Maybe Kobe has a difficult time in the series but the Lakers still win.

It's happen before in the playoffs for superstars.

Kobe Bryant will destroy Ronnie Brewer. Shot by Shot.

Back in 2001, if someone said we'd sweep the first 3 rounds, I'm sure that person would have been called "stupid" too. I'm not ready to discount the possibility of a sweep. We have a great team that has amazing chemistry and executes very well. Now a sweep won't be easy, but it's still very possible.

This is what Jazz fans posted at Jazzfanz.com about booing Fish, Some of them get it, and some of them don't. I was surprised to see a majority are actually classier then I had thought -

Quote:
Don't boo Fisher. Boo the players worth booing at, like Showbee. If we boo everyone and their dog, then it takes away the real effect of booing the players we hate.

Save the boos for Kobe...

Quote:
...do we boo him? or will that just get Kobe pissed off?

Quote:
It ain't worth it. Just motivates opposing players, especially players like Kobe.

Quote:
nope... there is no good reason to boo fisher.

a) we WANTED to get rid of him.

b) the national media will go hog wild on us being "classless"

c) lets not motivate kobe for him. He's already going to be getting hardware... don't want him going off for 82 on us.

Quote:
And this ain't T-Mac who you can taunt all day long and he still comes up short... Kobe will rip us apart if.

Quote:
That would be the most classless thing we could possibly do, a lot of the other fans from other teams showed their hatred towards us the way we obsess over TMAC

Quote:
Why boo Fish? He's a pretty good guy ...

Quote:
Boo Pau, because he's soft.
Boo Farmar, because we need him to not wear Deron down/beatup Price.
Boo Odom, because he's high half the time.
Boo Turiaf, because he dances really terribly.
Boo their two foreign 3 point shooters, because if they get hot we're going to get blown out.
Boo Phil, because he's the coach that I hate the most.

And boo Showbe to death, because he's the best player in the league.

But boo Fisher? Why? He did us a favor by leaving. He's a classy guy and a media darling. Jazz fans gain absolutely nothing by booing fisher

Quote:
I would hope that our crowd has learned their lesson, and understands that it will be tough enough for our guys to win this series without pouring gas on the fire.

Quote:
Please, let's not boo Fish. Let's be classy.

Quote:
I think this could be the most pathetic and disgusting campaign to boo a player who has put up pretty decent numbers in the regular season as well as in the playoffs last year. How can you forget the West Con. Semi-finals Game 2 Against GSW where he left his ill daughter behind and rushed back to the arena to sweat for the team ? Don't you remember he had a memorable game to help Jazz win and march through the Con. Semi Finals. Didn't we get all sentimental and lift Fisher to our shoulders as our no.1 hero ? Besides we all knew he was going back to LA when the season have ended. Please show some respect.

Quote:
You have to remember that Fish did a lot for us in the playoffs and for us to boo him is really stupid.

Quote:
Don't boo fish...i rmbr i was at the game when they were chanting can-cer, can-cer which is totally uncalled for

Wow, they really chanted that?!?

Quote:
You never want to give someone a stick to hit you with. Booing Fisher gives the lakers that stick. Be smart. You wanna win, don't ya?

Quote:
Don't you remember Kobe going off about it at the last regular season game? The jersey? Taunting the fans?
He was making a statement.

Quote:
Why fans need to be "classy" is beyond me. Lets not get into the Eurotrash soccer fights after games....but why the *beep* should anybody have to refrain from saying/booing anything during the game? Make your homecourt as tough as possible. Period. Boo the hell out of him...make him cry....talk trash about everything Derek Fisher. *beep* that guy.

These are the classless fans, talking about making signs for the game, this guy had posted a picture of Kobe's mug shot and wrote this -

Quote:
Here are some Ideas I had for signs we could make the next time the Kobe visit ESA:

Where committing adultery happens
Jazz Fans = Classless
Kobe = Adulterer
Whats worst?

I'd rather have Hilary in the White House for 4 Years then cheer for Kobe Bryant

Utah Jazz Championships- 0
Lakers Championships since Shaq- 0
Kobe's IQ- 0

Jazz Playoff series wins since Stockton and Malone left- 2
Lakers Playoff series wins since Kobe became "the man"- 0

How about we hold up a sign of Karl Malone and his 12 year old lover.

Quote:
Kobe - "Stay away from my daughter!"

Quote:
I'm Glad that Kobe doesn't Play In Utah because we have too many cute white girls

Quote:
Kobe is just a dick and a whining crybaby. He totally rubs me the wrong way. I had respect for MJ as a person as well as a player...I have ZERO respect for Kobe as a person.

Quote:
Where Man Love Happens

God Bless Fisher
Burn in Hell Kobe

Any others?

The Jazz just have more per capita than almost any other fan base. Note the obsession many of these fans have with Kobe and white girls. The same in-breds will tell you that what Malone did to that 12 year old girl wasn't rape. I wonder if they'd change their minds if they found out it was a 12 year old white girl?

Last time they were throwing stuff on the floor when we delivered a beatdown to their faces in Utah. You can bet Kobe doesn't need too much motivation for these guys.

I'm not so sure which is worse, the comments themselves or the fact that someone actually pays attention to this stuff.

Oh well. To each his own.

Go Lakers!

I had to LOL @ this one
Quote:
Just open your eyes to dream facts.Okur will beat Lakers single-handedly.There is no way Gasol can stop him.You need a player like Bynum to stop Okur scoring at will and grabbing offensive rebounds.I guarantee that Jazz will score at least 100 points in each game of the series. They will easily sweep the Lakers.Jazz don't need to worry about Kobe actually. They already sent a better player(T-Mac) home in the first round

Quote:
you make some good points. couple that with the fact the the fakers are a "finesse" team instead of a "physical" team (like ours), they aren't gonna know what hit em.
rockets are a physical team, they were a hard team to take down.
i don't believe the fakers will be as tough.
i predict booing in la for the fakers.
