The quotes are coming from a couple of different sites but I am too lazy to go look up the url. It is amazing how little Jazz fans know about basketball. They aren't very knowledgeable. They have threads talking about "taking out" Kobe or how Okur is the second coming of Bird. It's mind-boggling. _________________ If we are all thinking alike, then nobody is thinking! |

Co-sign. I dont throw this word around often but if we called the Nuggets "thugs" then I might as call those Utah fans "dumb rednecks" cuz they are _________________ http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j171/ToroGraphics/Sigs/Rydah.jpg

Oh man, talk about your stupid statements and fans without real knowledge of the league. I know a lot about Utah, but it's clear they know nothing about the Lakers. I can only assume this person is basing this on the Rockets winning 2 of 3 games from us this year. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

The Jazz are in trouble if they had to learn defense from the rockets in one series.. |

It's playoff basketball - underestimate an opponent at your peril - that goes for us as well as them.
They see the Lakers as glitz and media hype with a prima dona star - time to school them on how good this team is. Looking forward to a tough but ultimately successful series against the Jazz - a good test of how good this team is. _________________ ..with the sharpness.. |

The Jazz fans are under the impression that the refs will protect Kobe. The refs don't protect Kobe at all. The person who is protected wears #23 and he plays in Cleveland. At least in the playoffs (so far), Kobe has learned to keep his mouth shut about it. The key for the Lakers is to hit their free throws with tremendous accuracy because the Jazz foul more than anybody else in the NBA. I think they confuse good defense with fouling folks. _________________ If we are all thinking alike, then nobody is thinking! |

I really have no idea where the Jazz fans get their information.
Gasol vs. the Jazz
This year:
26 minutes, 11 points, 4 reb, 1 ast, 1 blk, 3/8 FGs (Okur 3/9, 9 pts 0 ORB)
Last year:
35 minutes, 25 points, 10 reb, 3 ast, 3 blk, 9/10 FGs (Okur 4/13, 8 pts, 1 ORB)
34 minutes, 28 points, 13 reb, 2 ast, 1 blk, 8/17 FGs (Okur 6/12, 16 pts, 2 ORB)
47 minutes, 17 points, 13 reb, 12 ast, 2 blk, 5/16 FGs (Okur 11/19, 27 pts, 3 ORB)
26 minutes, 12 points, 2 reb, 2 ast, 2 blk, 4/6 FGs (Okur 6/14, 20 pts, 3 ORB)
Gasol in his last five against the Jazz:
34 mpg, 18.6 ppg, 8.4 reb, 4.0 apg, 1.8 blk, 29/57 FGs
Three double doubles
One triple double
Okur...30/67 FGs, 18.0 points, 1.8 offensive boards. I don't see how Okur is dominating anyone. If Okur is going to shoot that percentage and not even grab two offensive boards per game, and he's going to be their savior against Pau, I'd say we're in great shape. _________________

They are all important games, but I'll point to Game 3 beign the one that turns the tide in either direction.
Lakers- If the maintain the home court advantage(2-0) and take game 3 at Utah, this will have drained the sails out of Utah, and they willoffically "let off" on the Lakers. There spirit will be broken, and they will fold.
WE must maintain homecourt, and win game 3 |

Sorry man, that's just wrong.
Boozer is better than Lamar and AK47 is much better than Vlad. Also Deron is at worst the 3rd best PG in the league so he is not to be underestimated.
This will be a tough series no doubt but we will win in 6. _________________ Proud member of Team Odom

I don't believe Boozer is better than Lamar, either. Lamar is a potential triple double every night, while Boozer is an excellent mid range shooter and post player who is a good rebounder. They both suffer from inconsistency, though. The difference is Boozer is the 1st of 2nd option on his team while Lamar is the definite 3rd option on his squad. AK-47 and Vlad also suffer from inconsistent play. Kirilenko is the better defender and Vlad is the better shooter. Should be fun _________________ If we are all thinking alike, then nobody is thinking! |

You know those seasons where you just feel like you're destined to win? This feels like one of them.
After all the adversity this team has gone through this year, it would be fitting to win the championship. Right now it just feels like we can't lose to anyone in a 7 game series.
Lakers in 6. |

As long as the officials call a foul every time Kobe moves, the Jazz don't have much of a chance.
The free throw discrepancy in the game was a joke.
But they called fouls the same way for Jordan.
When the league wants a winner, the refs supply one.
A player ought to have to earn his points. It looks like the league is forcing the Jazz to commit flagrant fouls on Bryant. Hurt him to diminish his effectiveness. What a joke.
And yes, losers do complain about the officiating |

The frontcourt of Odom and Gasol >>>>>> Boozer and Okur.
Maybe not individually, but their chemistry on offense puts them on top by a mile |
