All these refs need to read the book Calling the Shots by Earl Strom. He was the last NBA ref that that I trusted and respected.

I've got to say that we continued to get jobbed for the most part. KG sets illegal screens 75% of the time and was only whistled once. It was getting ridiculous. The guy fouls on almost every play near the basket and moves on 3/4 of his screens. Why does he get this much leeway? It's absurd. In fact very few of those Celtic screens are legal. PJ Brown and Paul Pierce move on the majority of their screens as well. Why do the Celtics get a pass in this regard? Are there new rules for them or something?

We got a handful of breaks today

1) Radman punching that support underneath the basket and not getting T'd

2) Kobe kicking the ball after the missed free throw and not getting his second T

3) Fisher putting up a wild shot and getting a whistle that sends him to the line

4) LO bulldozing over Pierce, turned out to be a no call, and he passed it off to a shooter who hit the 3

5) Kobe looked like he committed a discontinued dribble before the up and under jumper over Allen

Home sweet home

Disagree with #4. Lo did not bulldoze Pierce. He tucked his shoulder inside, which is to say he didn't square up and blast into Pierce, PP flopped on the pass, this is a no-call all day long. Charges are never called when an offensive player dips inside the defender, therefore it's not going through the defender, rather to the side. Not a charge, sorry.....In Boston maybe. Not in LA

Unbelievable......We are gonna murder these guys in Games 3, 4 and 5 because the refs will flip-flop to favor us in LA; plain and simple. Kobe will probably get 16 ft's himself, per game if he attacks. Powe will get to the line maybe twice, in all three games combined. Paul Pierce will get boo'ed as he should in LA, cause we don't like wimps and fakers. I don't like wimps and fakers. I don't like guys who grimace after slight contact (Pierce). I don't like people who get helped off the court, then return in 22 seconds smiling. That's no Willis Reed.

Anyway I got sidetracked. Did I mention that I don't like wimps and fakers. Take off the knee brace, Paul, cause its only there for show.

Lakers will get to the line a lot in LA, Boston very little - gotta even the score, ya know..... man12 Oh yeah, and we'll also get all the tipped balls, and travelling calls, 3 seconds in our favor. Ya know, those little things that turn the game around.

I've never quoted myself, and I know its not cool, but look at my prediction. I said Kobe would get 16 ft's and Powe would get 2. Well Kobe got 18, Powe got 2. Maybe I know something you guys don't...... man12

Funny, I just heard that the game Donaghy said was rigged, none other than DICK BAVETTA was officiating in.

Same terrible idiot who reffed Game 2.

Out of the "Finals" officials, here's my opinion:

Best - J. Crawford, M. Callahan, J. Forte, R. Garretson, J. DeRosa, S. Foster, S. Javie, J. Nies

Worst - Eddie F. Rush, D. Crawford, K. Mauer, D. Bavetta, B. Salvatore, B. Delaney, J. Clark

jam2 jam2

2/3 refs that will officiate the game tommorow.

Game 1 was bad but it wasn't anything different than the home team getting some benefits..but nothing over the top.

Game 2 was just downright lob-sided and fixed. Bob Delaney..cough..cough*

Ive always hated Javie with a passion for some reason. However, if he can call the game fair tomorrow, then I'll be jumping for joy.

Washington is a homer and Javie is the one ref in the league I would put money not being corrupt (though thats still not saying much). Don't have much insight on De Rosa though.

I've never had a problem with Javie's fairness. Kobe better watch it with the techs though; Javie don't take no crap from nobody. disagree

Javie refs like I would: I made the call. Deal with it and get the hell out of my face or have a T and get out of my face.

He also seems relatively unfazed by the home crowd. Should be a decently called game tonight.

No he reffed Game 1 which was a much more subtle fix job.

Joe DeRosa is the #1 homer in ref statistics over the regular season.

Tom Washington is a homer too.

Javie almost always makes the right call.

Expect great officiating tonight boys. man1

Pee Pee's feet were moving, and I'm not sure somone punching the stanchion and cursing [i[to himself[/i] would earn someone a T. The others, I can agree to.... 3 breaks all night, when KG set about 10 illegal picks, of which only the last one was called.
