Kobe was dishing down the stretch tonight, along with missing...I'll give him credit. Fish rimmed out the open trey and Lamar missed his. Not sure why we're setting up plays for Lamar to hit a trey down the stretch though, we can do better than that. _________________ ...as I enter your mind, decorate and paint my sign...LA Lakers will be 2008-09 NBA Champions!

we lost cuz of:
offensive boards, 3pt shooting, bench, PHIL, second half odom, last minutes kobe and the refs. Few factors as u can see and yet we were close. But 12 pts in 4 is just horrible. how many games in career had Kobe with 10+ 4qt, like 30-40

| And another call that I don't see getting brought up was when Kobe stood his ground in the backcourt when I believe, Daniel Gibson was taking up the ball. Kobe stood his ground, Gibson runs into Kobe, and they call a block on Kobe. Someone please explain how that wasn't a charge. |
That was a no call in normal situations, but not when the Lakers play the Cavs. |
actually that call was correct. larry hughes caught the ball then kobe jumped under him. the offensive player needs to have the ability to catch the ball and turn. thats why it was a blocking foul on kobe. _________________

I called this one a mile away. The reason they were killing us on the offensive boards was dirty play by Varejao that wasn't getting called. A lot of pushing, over the backs that were simply being let go.
That last call on Fisher was hilarious...but par for the course.
But of course, we'll have a crew of douches who'll show up and say it wasn't the refs and that it was all Kobe's fault for being off. |
it was in NO WAY Kobe's fault....... When you let a team go on 16-0 run (Kobe not on the floor during that span)..... A coach needs to ask himself at some point during that run, if he has the right players on the floor.... Or call a damn timeout |

Yeah, but I didn't say it should have been a charge. It should have been a no call. Not a block, not a charge. _________________

Well I'm glad the Lakers lost cause they aren't as good as their record shows.
If they had a 500 record, I wouldn't care about this loss, but since thier record was good, it was more important! |

you'd think for that much $$$$, Phil could get his lazy butt off that chair, and pace the damn side-lines for the last 3 minutes of a game. And give the illusion that he's coaching |

Another coach might have called time to let Drew gather himself before those FTs.
But Phil is not that coach...if Drew is ever going to learn to shoot FTs under pressure, this was the perfect teacher. Unfortunately, today he fails. Gotta make the freebies.
Most of the team was off on the charity stripe today....Kobe missed three, Fish missed two. Make the freethrows and we win easily...no bad reffing gets in the way.
Anyways enough whining...onto Philly, where we better effing win. |

I have a feeling we're gonna lose this one
We always come up short in big games on the road
Eg: Boston and Miami last 2 years (last year Kobe got sick, this year he's injured)
doesn't look good for the lakers tonight heading into that dump of a city that was awarded the hall of fame lol |

This loss was a combination of poor d-fensive boarding, poor free throw shooting, poor bench production and bad calls by the refs. For some reason I had a feeling we'd lose this particular game on the trip.We all knew it had to be atleast one.I think the Cavs are a better team than their record indicates. This loss hurts, but for some reason it doesn't hurt as bad as that Golden State loss.Anyway,we SHOULD spank the Knicks and Sixers. _________________
