Yes.
"There was also plenty of fodder for conspiracy theorists. In an opening-day roster of all 30 teams released by the NBA, Bryant was listed as an inactive player for the Lakers.
One theory had him possibly sidelined by his wrist when the list had to be submitted last week, and another, juicier hypothesis had Jackson spoofing the league with his dry sense of humor.
Either way, the list is nonbinding -- Bryant's name will be on a more updated roster submitted tonight by the Lakers an hour before tipoff. " _________________

If anybody thinks that Kobe is not gonna play, just end your life right now, you don't have any clue whats so ever. Kobe was born for games like this. Everyone going against him and saying he can't do this and he's a bad leader. I understand that the nba.com roster said he was on the inactive list. Yes, that is confusing but come on after listening to his interview on Lakers.com. You have to be seriously retarded to think he wasen't going to play. _________________

I just want to see Kobe out there giving high fives to teammates and a decent effort from all of our guys, especially Kobe on the defensive end.
Time to put away all this trade talk and see if we can win with this squad.
Go Lakers |

Man if we win... everyone is going to be so happy, but if we lose,... what a disaster...
That is the usually CL mood but still, this will be much more than a normal game. _________________

I couldn't agree anymore. I think this first game is more important than the first 5 games simple because of confidence levels of this young team! _________________

Without Odom , some guys still banged up, and Kobe possibly not having his heart in the right place right now I think we're looking at a tough loss.
I say 111-96. We're going to go down big early and play catchup all game long, only for them to run away with it at the end.
We need LO back and a Kobe dedicated to this team to event alk about being competative again. I'm just not liking where these guys are at to start the season _________________ http://youtube.com/watch?v=WLZ3uDDAP0c

We really need Odom to do something in this game. I mean, even if Kobe scores 50, I still think this matchup is too hard for us. All trade talks aside - even if we assume everyone's healthy, and the atmosphere is great - Rockets are an elite team, and we are so-so.
But who knows? Miracles happen. Sometimes. _________________

I want our second unit to win this game for us. To show our fans and Kobe and the rest of the team that we can play and compete. _________________
