I love Kobe's answer when asked what his opinion was about Shaq going to Phoenix. "I don't have any."
At least he knows that way it won't be twisted in the media! |

He was with Memphis and the Spurs for a combined 8 games this year. He averaged like 23 points in the D-League. Hawks signed him to a 10 day because they're short on bodies. _________________

The current 8th seed in the West is on pace to win 51 games!!!!!
That's 51 games JUST to MAKE the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's going to take close to 60 wins just to finish in the top 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The West is LOADED!!!! |
That's why I'm a fan of top 16 teams in the playoffs. |
It's going to take a HUGE snub (like this year's 9th best West team being 10 games better than the 4th seed in the East).
If it happens again next year, I can see a bunch of Western Conference owners pitching a fit...especially with the new CBA coming up fairly soon. |
Yep and I hope they do. Right now you'd have Denver and Portland on the outside looking in.
I don't think you should be rewarded for having a losing record. And in the East that's what we've had the past couple years and this year will certainly follow suit. |
And the balance of power just got shoved again in favor of the West.
This could get ugly. WAS (caron injury) and NJN (Harris injury/Kidd trade) are likely to have serious dropoffs in play.
Theoretically, we could have 3 teams make the playoffs in the EAST who are BELOW .500!!!!
Wow...
And don't forget a West team that's 20 games above .500 and NOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!! _________________ Feel free to ignore anything I say...

at Billy Mac's post-game comments. He was talking about Pau then said, "He was the steal of the century considering what they gave up...No disrespect to Javaris Crittenton...Notice how I'm not mentioning any other names."
The unmentionable registered another DNP-Coach's Decision tonight. |

I honestly thought the Hawks would present a much bigger challenge than this.
Whatever the case, it was a game the Lakers should have won, and they did with several exclamation points.
They were up 41pts at one point.
Anyways....nothing to get too stoked about...another game tomorrow and I like Kobe's attitude about it. No more BSing around. Just get it done. _________________ Basketball isn't part of life, it is life.
