The Blazers own us in their homecourt.

YES, THAT INCLUDES THE COMMENTATORS THAT WE ABSOLUTELY HATE.

We get angry when they don't play hard and don't talk to each other on defense.

So sad how some "Laker fans" on this board seem almost excited and relieved everytime we lose a game. Some people predicting a early playoff exit, which is fine, but then flocking the site after every loss with "Told you so" posts are just pathetic.

I mean, come on, guys. We still don't have Bynum and we have 53 wins. We have beaten every other team in the top 8 with us and we have won half of the series against those teams (Dallas, Phoenix, Denver, Utah). We may not be championship material, but this game doesn't decide that fact. We're playing without our starting Center, who averages a double double, blocks a ton of shots, and shoots 60%+.

Keep it in perspective.

that's the thing about laker fans in general they expect the team to win every single game which is impossible... sometimes I really don't like the fact that we have such a huge fan base because some of them are kind of like Warriors bandwagon fans who only watch the games now cuz the team is good.

No....it's called showing heart and not giving up. Nothing to laugh at.

I could maybe sympathize with that argument if they played that hard in the beginning. Just no Heart in the 1st half.No pulse.

Maybe b/c they have non-defensive players like Puke Walton, Lamar Odom, lazy Kobe, Farmar, Fisher, Sasha, and Vlad...

That's the supersoft no defensive team right there!

kobe was not lazy he was out quicked

brandon is much faster than kobe in his current state with the ankle and such

Kobe is excellent on defense when he wants to. But likewise he's also lazy sometimes when he doesn't respect the opposing 2 guard. So i was referring to the lazy kobe instead of the defensively focused kobe.

men, our defense is really bad and its just gets worse each game. if we expect a less than 100% and rusty bynum to come in and change our defense immediately, then we must be out of our damn minds

yeah because blowing sunshine up the teams ars like vic the brick is so cathartic or productive.

I guess you'd rather read...kobe is the greatest posts all day long.

Personally I know the officiating was rough (ok down right putrid) but the Knicks beat the Pistons tonight and the horrible road team Jazz went into NO and won. Just one of those weird days... Lakers will be fine, but I think they could've helped themselves tonight, and they provided evidence for doom and gloomers.

If you want to get ahead you have to win these games. The Lakers are losing these games, and New Orleans isn't. Plain & simple.

True. The first half has been our kryptonite this season. It's like our guys think the first half is part of the warmups. I remember when Shaq was with us the third quarter was our worst nemesis. Why can't we just play hard the whole game.

we lost because we got severely killed on second chance points

odom was non-exsistent( the fact kobe had to tell him to keep his head in the game is sad)

pau gasol ( i guess there is no spanish word for rotation and this concept is foreign to him)

farmar (dude get it through your head you aren't as good as you think you are)

sasha no gripe with you

kobe (get that ankle healed your lift and lateral movement is not the same right now)

vlad rad ( dude i get you've been hot but there is a limit learn it, study it, get it through your head)

phil (your chicago teams were amazing defensively what up man get them going)

bynum get healthy soon jeez we need your rebounding so bad its not even funny and your willingness to rotate and block shots unlike a certain spaniard)

LMAO at the thought of pau guarding amare man10

Thats what I've been telling these knuckleheads who seem to think that Bynum alone will solve our collective issues on "D".They think we can flick a switch as if we actually played "D" in the past.Naive fools.

Aldridge does own Gasol though. Gasol can't defend him at all.

Good post. It is just one game. Still, it's more frustrating than a typical single loss might be because: (1) it's a loss that's emblematic of our consistent (seemingly permanent) weakness on defense; (2) our chances of overtaking NO are now mostly pipe dream; and (3) Kobe did himself no favors in the MVP race tonight--horrible shooting night, way too many forced shots..

actually i think gasol did a admiral job against aldridge its odom who got worked i think aldridge watched some tape of how odom defended him last game because he had some counter moves for lamar

bynum makes our defense go from a 4 out of 10 to a 8 out of 10 he allows everyone to play closer on their man and bother them more

pau needs to learn how to rotate when is the last time hes blocked a shot

Farmar was terrible, Pau missed to many easy buckets, refs bought by Paul Allen, just wasn't meant to be.

How did you come to the conclusion that Id rather read posts of Kobe's greatness all day? And what does Kobe have to do with my post anyway?

I clearly said that I see nothing wrong with people saying that we wont make it far in the playoffs. But once again, nothing is more pathetic to see than people who predict they Lakers wont do well and then at every sign of trouble, they pop up as if they are happy that they are being proved right.

For some reason, I really don't feel worried. Instead I feel really excited. We have players coming back (Andrew) within a few days (maybe this weekend per Phil). We're getting healthier. We have a chance to win it all this year, Kobe might be MVP. But if none of those happen (Championship, MVP), we have a greater chance next year. I'm more excited about next season more than anything. I just want to see this group healthy and 100%. It's not gonna happen this year, but a healthy group of:

Fisher
Bryant
Odom
Gasol
Bynum

Brings a HUGE smile to my face.
