Westbrook gets his points off slashes, on the open floor and hustle plays often relying on his incredible athleticism. His outside shot is spotty at best and is really not creative off the dribble but he does have good discipline. The sky is the limit for him. Shipp's struggles is a mystery. _________________ "A champion needs a motivation above and beyond winning..." - Pat Riley |

Oh I know he does. But he gets in rhythms where he hits a lot. But Bruins are not going to make it to the final 4 if Shipp struggles and Westbrook doesn't step up. Hopefully Shipp can wake up. If he ever does UCLA will have a very nice run to the final game. _________________ | Keeping Your Computer Safe | UCLA | Wedding Photography |

| The Bruins D to come back to the game was key, as well as some players named Love & Collison. Excellent resilency & heart. |

Shipp played well in the last tournament and carried them against Florida when Afflalo got into foul trouble. He looked to be nearing the potential last year. Would have been nice to have Love last year with Afflalo. Would have been cool, since I got to photograph the tournament last year. _________________ | Keeping Your Computer Safe | UCLA | Wedding Photography |

I e-mailed Diane Pucin of the LA Times . ..
Diane,
Read your article this AM.
So, after being around the Bruins, what do you think? Do they actually know what they are getting into when facing the Hilltoppers?
I think UCLA is better, but Western Kentucky can flat out play.
To me, this game has all the rumblings of a major upset.
Thanks,
UKUGA
One thing about Ben Howland, he, and his teams, never take anyone lightly. So, yes, I think they know what they are getting into when facing the Hilltoppers. Could be an upset. At this time of year never discount the possibility.

Bruins should be up by 7 at least already. Couple missed FTs, shipp continues to struggle, but Love is getting whatever he wants. _________________

Farmar played at UCLA. It really helped him. _________________ “That was a trip. It felt great, though. I don’t got to worry about nobody poisoning my burger now. I can eat in peace.”

They played as horrible against the press as they ever could. WKU made a great run though. _________________ | Keeping Your Computer Safe | UCLA | Wedding Photography |

Good lord, that was too close for comfort, but after we withstood the press and made our run to go back up by like 12 I was PUMPED. For all those complaining the refs give us all the calls, not this game. They fouled out Collison and called some incredibly ticky tack calls early on and got our whole team in foul trouble, miracle we survived that. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

I agree, we might squeak by in the next round playing like this, but we're not beating anyone in the Final Four and if we do get to the Championship we're not gonna stop North Carolina the way they're playing. _________________ Weezy's Weemens

However, Shipp looked better and Keefe looks good out there. So there are some positives as well out there. _________________ | Keeping Your Computer Safe | UCLA | Wedding Photography |

They have yet to play a full game with everyone contributing with balance. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is still on the mend though I don't think he'll be fully 100% during the whole tourney. Collison's play last night is an abberation. Westbrook will be fine. The key now is for Shipp to play like he's capable from here on out. _________________ "A champion needs a motivation above and beyond winning..." - Pat Riley |

People have been saying this for how long now?
"If UCLA doesn't get the calls...."
"If the role players don't contribute..."
It's not like UCLA hasn't ever faced a press before. This is an experienced team that called it a night after breezing through the first half. They lost a ton of momentum, pulled it together and still won by double digits.
Bottom line is UCLA almost always finds a way to win. Especially in the tourney. _________________

Someone posted this on my facebook. Thought I'd share it with the rest of you.
Video about the no-call certain people have been claiming is a conspiracy during the UCLA - Texas A&M game.

Luc played well in the last game on defense. That's what they need most out of him. And if Keefe keeps it up, he gives them that extra big forward who can provide points. _________________ | Keeping Your Computer Safe | UCLA | Wedding Photography |
