Today i got to talk to my doctor. some of you remember 2 weeks back i was in the hosipal for a severly low blood count or hemoglobin. they didnt even think about the possibility of leukemia. but under the suggestion of a more in detail blood test they said they are 97% sure that i have leukemia. the other 3% is if the bone marrow test comes back negative. but they say its pretty much obvious that i have it.

you know its scary to think that if i have to die its a sucky way to. but i am keeping my hopes up a lil but its so heavy on my mind. im too young for this bs but i am thankful i had my daughter young so that i culd experience fatherhood before i go.

hopefully a miracle happens but i doubt it

Wow, I don't know what to say. I know it's easy for us to speak, but you should keep your spirits high, man. Depending on your mood, feel free to read on - some cancer experiences and a few words of advice.

As a family, we have been dealing with cancer forever - mom's partner has prostate cancer, aunt has breast cancer and it nearly spread to everywhere including her brain, another aunt already died because of lung cancer and one of mom's best friends also has lung cancer. Every one of those mentioned had the same exact feeling after the initial diagnosis, but they differed mightily in their respective approaches.

My aunt who passed away was shocked, but after shaking up the cold sensation of death itself, she continued her old ways, smoking 3 packs a day etc. & left us earlier than it was told to us.

My other aunt, who is still receiving treatment, is kinda rich so they have everything available to them, but they are in total denial. They've been fighting cancer for years and they still hope that it will go away sometime. Her intensive treatment put her in a very fragile position, dare I say, those chems are worse than the cancer itself. The doctors have been successful so far keeping her alive, but nobody knows for how long.

Mom's friend - well, she's older than most of us so she is not that much limited when it comes to drastic measures. She rejected the proposed treatment(means she won't have any) and still smoking heavily.

The point of telling all of these will make itself clear while I explain what my mom's bf went through. When he was first diagnosed with cancer(his situation slightly resembles your story - was expecting something less serious), he was very desperate and in a strong state of depression. He even proposed to mom to make sure mom gets her share which made mom crazy - he was about to shut himself down, waiting to die, like he was writing last will and testament. Mom, being a pedagogue, knows a thing or two about human psychology, decided to give him some time to think over while constantly trying to make him reclaim his post-cancer life perspective. After two long weeks, he succeeded, and began his fight with this goddamn illness.

What I'm trying to say is, yeah this is a physical illness and may not be cured by psychological means, but having your mind on your side is a very formidable ally in this fight for survival of yours. Cooperate with your mind, be at peace and hope for the best.

You know we are all here for you.

I don't want it to sound impersonal kOBeTiMe, but the above quote really is the perfect way to say what I feel.

Please, let us know what the doctors said about how long you have and know that we will be praying for you.

3) Try Hoxsey Tonic. This treatment was done on my Great Aunt and though it didn't save her because her breast cancer was way too advanced, she lived pain-free until her death. It was a formula derived from plants that were discovered to cure sick horses.

More info here. http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,5523,0.htm

You can find the Hoxsey Formula on many sites. Including here. http://www.baar.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=9638&Product_Count=&Category_Code=

2) Improve your diet. No white flour. No sugar. Plenty of vegetables. Whole Grains. Lay off fats. Excersize. Basically, make yourself a health nut if possible. Cancer attacks the weakest cells first.

1) Keep your spirits up! If you think you will be gone, then you will. Be positive.
