If you did that guy James Carville really pissed me off! All he did was run his mouth and say that we could not even beat Georgia let alone LSU!!!! I would to suit up against LSU and Georgia, To show them how the Trojans do it!!!!!!

Then I actuall had some guys come up to me and tell me im a pice s*** compaired to moreno and Devine!!! All that s*** is doin is building my confidence to get better and prove them wrong!

James Carville is a college football fan maniac, he may be bias to LSU alot but at the sametime what he says sometimes is truthful, like how he spoke about Lee Corso and the Rose bowl this morning. Who wins out of LSU, Georgia and USC is all personal opinion at this point.
Here is a clip of James at his finest lol

NFL Team Chasing Carroll

Falcons May Go After Pete Carroll

http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/01/09/falcons-may-go-after-pete-carroll/

Quote:
According to ESPN.com, the Falcons are trying to secure an interview with Southern Cal head coach Pete Carroll for their own head coaching vacancy:

Multiple sources told ESPN.com late Tuesday night that the Falcons are pursuing Pete Carroll for an interview. If Carroll agrees, and the logistics can be arranged, the Southern California coach could huddle with Atlanta owner Arthur Blank by the weekend.

But sources said the Falcons might be willing to grant Carroll far-reaching responsibilities and that the USC coach, who could assemble a very strong staff, could be intrigued by the challenge of resurrecting a franchise that has been through a turbulent year and has become all but irrelevant on the Atlanta sports scene.

This is very interesting, because Atlanta is coming off a bad experience with Bobby Petrino, the former Louisville coach who bolted the Dirty Birds for Arkansas a month ago. You'd think that Blank would be a bit gun shy about hiring another college coach ... even one with Carroll's pedigree. It's also interesting to speculate why Carroll would leave a gravy job at USC for a massive rebuilding project in Atlanta.

DON'T DO IT PETE!

He's passed on much better situations that the train wreck that is the current Atlanta Falcons. I'm confident that there's nothing to worry about.

I think this could have more legs than you think. He would get alot of $$$, full control of the personnel decisions, and no where to go but up in Atlanta.

If he takes it then whatev, I'll be bummed, but it's his life. I personally just don't think he could have it any better than he does right now. Sure, the NFL can pay more, but it's a different animal altogether.

I don't get why Atlanta would be interested in another college coach after Petrino just effed them in the A. I would think they'd be looking at someone more like a Parcells (as they did) or a Cowher.

^ Blank looked at both, neither were interested in coaching the team.

He likes big names though. I don't think Jason Garrett or Mike Singletary (two of the current top candidates) are sexy enough names for Arthur.

He'd be killing two birds with one stone with this. Coach and GM in one hiring.

I'm leery of another college coach, regardless of who it is. But Carroll has had much more NFL success and isn't a lying snake who constantly is looking for the next job.

man10 man10 man10

Doesnt everyone love how the PC to NFL rumors start up at critical recruiting times?

The last few years Pete has listened to offers from Miami, San Diego, San Francisco, Arizona and Houston. Atlanta will be added to that list this year, and next year at this same time, there will be rumors of Pete Carroll heading to the NFL once again.

Is it possible he could go? Yeah it is. But Pete Carroll knows the good thing he has going here. We'll see how this all plays out, but i expect Pete Carroll to come out and say hes staying at USC within the next 3 days.

There is no way Pete Caroll goes to Atlanta. As mentioned, he turned down jobs from GOOD team, why would he want to go lose in Atlanta? That team needs more than a big-name coach, he'll just want out after the year of they'll fire him anyway. He's got a good thing where he is, why would he leave.

^^ Top college coaches make the same amount of money as NFL coaches these days. I don't think money will be a factor. However, as ESPN radio reported, he's staying! jam2

I know it's a theory, but here's one possibility that has been discussed a lot on ESPN and Falcons boards, what if Carroll knows something we don't about the Bush investigation. That is one reason to make a mad dash for the NFL.

No offense JSM, but that's the same theory that was out there last year when he spoke with the Dolphins. It's possible, but highly improbable. I just don't see this being THE job that knocks him off the USC perch. Stranger things have happened, but I just don't think this will.

The way I see it, Pete continues to listen to these people so that NFL teams will keep considering him for a job. So, maybe down the road when he does get an offer he can't pass up, then he can take it.

Mater Dei junior quarterback says he plans to sign with Trojans in 2009.

Quote:
Quarterback Matt Barkley of Santa Ana Mater Dei, considered the No. 1 high school football prospect in the nation for the class of 2009, abruptly ended the recruiting process on Wednesday by announcing he had committed to USC.

"I'm very excited," said the 6-foot-3, 220-pound junior who passed for 3,560 yards and 35 touchdowns and was selected the Gatorade national player of the year.

Click here to find out more!
Barkley said he visited USC on Saturday and came to the conclusion there was no need to wait any longer on announcing a decision, even though he can't sign a letter of intent until February 2009.

"With all the success USC has to offer, I feel it's the best opportunity to grow as a quarterback," Barkley said. "The competition is like none other.

"I've always loved USC and I wanted to get the burden of the recruiting process over before I start back with Mater Dei football."

Barkley's decision offers a boost to the Trojans just as rival UCLA was gaining attention for hiring former USC assistant Norm Chow as its offensive coordinator.

On the same day last Saturday that Barkley visited USC Coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, he later went to UCLA for an unofficial visit with his cousin, receiver Robbie Boyer, and was taken around campus by Bruins Coach Rick Neuheisel.

Barkley said he considers Chow "a great coach" and had met him previously at a camp, but his ties to USC were strong, considering that his father, Les, played water polo for the Trojans.

Barkley's private coach, Steve Clarkson, said, "He's had a silent commitment since last October. It was a decision he felt good about but never announced until now."

Barkley, a starter at Mater Dei since he was a freshman, has a 3.9 grade-point average and earned praise this season for his ability to throw deep passes with great accuracy.

^^ Just read this. Looks like we got our QB for the next 4 years... he'll probably start as a RS Frosh or Soph when Mustain and Sanchez leave.

Two things, Aonex we need to go to a game!

Also, to hell with Reggie Bush. I can't say I was never a fan of his but my favorite player was always Matt Leinart and currently Rey Maualuga. Both could have been drafted but opted to stay for their senior year. Bush's dumb bleeping bleep? Takes money he's not supposed to and leave's a year early. He's been dead to me since he left early but these "allegations" really piss me off. I almost forgot why I don't wish him or the Saints any success in the NFL.
