Zito played horrible. My A's are still going all the way though. That opening game was a fluke.

Their lineup of 1-9 is just deadly. They've been looking for a lead off hitter and now they have argueably the best one.

ZITO: NY SUITS ME

Quote:
Barry Zito's former Athletics teammates Jason Giambi and Johnny Damon said they believe Zito, who's due to become a free agent after this season, would thrive in New York. Zito, while saying he's thinking only about the A's now, agreed.

"They know me," Zito said yesterday. "I like big situations. I like pitching in the playoffs."

Was gonna say, maybe he's taking it easy on his future team.

Zito had a few GREAT seasons..but once people and scouts etc. figured out how to hit his crazy curve, his career has gone downhill

a lousy fastball..all he has is his curve and slider

so far, its the same problem as last year.

Bad pitching and too much swinging for HR's.

Man Cano's error messed everything up. Now we're 1-2 heading into a series against the Angels at their place. Hopefully we can take 2 of 3.
