Draft Express: DraftExpress has learned that Cal-State Fullerton junior point guard Bobby Brown has submitted paperwork to the NBA to officially make himself eligible for the 2006 NBA Draft. Brown at this point is just testing the waters and will not be hiring an agent until his draft status becomes clearer.
Brown, regarded as a bubble first rounder early in the process, is considered a strong candidate to move up the draft boards once workouts begin. Scouts we spoke with feel he can possibly work his way into the top 20 or higher once he shows teams just how good of a shooter and athlete he is in a workout setting. |

Bobby Brown is nice! He participated in the LA City classic tournament which they have every month before college basketball starts which is a tournament usually for local college players and some ex NBA players. Bobby Brown actually outshined the likes of Jordan Farmar, and Gabriel Pruitt in the tournament and was clearly one of the top players this past summer. He played alongside Hassan Adams (Arizona), Brandon Bowman (Georgetown), Brandon Heath (San Diego State) Ashanti Cook (Georgetown), Scott Cutley (Kent State), and Trevor Ariza (Orlando Magic) in high school over at Westchester. He definetly has a future in the NBA. Goodluck to him _________________ "He's the kind of coach who changes a person's life. I also really like him as an NBA prospect. One of the top SLEEPERS in the draft, mark my words. He's just been underexposed playing in a small school but he has nice shooting, distributing and defensive ability, as well as good athleticism and speed. Those are the five primary things you look at when you are talking about an NBA point guard--and he's well-rounded in each of those attributes, with little weakness. His major problems result from a lack of good teammates at CSF, but he's obligated to create things for himself, so his stats aren't truly representative of what he's capable of. In my mock draft, he's a late 1st rounder and that is where he ultimately should be drafted. I have high hopes for him. _________________ Ideal Lakers: Kirk Snyder, Derek Anderson, Fred Jones, Theo Ratliff, Mickael Gelebale Others of interest: Ricky Davis, Jason Williams, Bonzi Wells, Quinton Ross, Yakhouba Diawara, Walter Herrmann, Salim Stoudamire, Devin Brown, Michael Finley, Juan Dixon, Brian Skinner, Jamaal Magloire, Kareem RushMORE |
