| back during the championship era there was a rumor floating around of george for rjeff. it was really funny too, because people on laker forums were like, 'oh god no...george is a rising star' and people on net's forums were really excited about the deal. oh how times change. |

That was the same summer they brought Malone and Payton to the Lakers. Phil liked the idea of having Arenas on this team, but it just didn't work out.
I also recall us having the chance to trade Devean George for Baron Davis, Robert Horry and Samaki Walker for Lorenzen Wright and Stromile Swift, and a few other trades as well. But you can't blame the management for their flaws in predicting the almighty future... |
