I hope best available, but there are things the Lakers seem to look for in players, judging by recent picks:

Intelligence, weak D, lack of athleticism. So look for them to go for more of the same.

In all honest, those are all needs...but LA could use a guy at any position if he's good.

When draft will come closer, then we'll know what position Lakers will draft, but we need PG, bigman. We can see that if we check with positions players Lakers are having workouts.

Well, so far the Lakers have worked out--PFs, backup SGs, and PGs.

agreed. Were better off finding a good wing prospect at 26. I doubt anyone we draft will start anytime soon. Someone who could fill in George's spot would be just fine.

Fill our point guard need with the MLE - Cassel, Banks, Terry, James, ect.

Fill power forward through trade(Mihm as main trade bait)- Im hoping for Boozer.

If we don't get higher draft pick then 26th, I think we'll draft Shawne Williams.
He can play from the 1-thru-4 positions. He can shoot, pass and defend.

i actually agree....PG through free agency, PF through trade...and just a good overall player through the draft...to replace george..
