Greetings from NYC. Just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. Name is Ryan, 23, grown up in NY my whole life. I am a die-hard Kobe fan and subsequent Laker fan if you all don't take exception. I grew up a Knick fan and supported them well for many moons, but between what has transpired in the past few years, and my total devotion to Kobe (a devotion that at one point during the ridiclious trial Kobe had to go through, a person said that I defended him like he was a family member of mine) I've grown to really love the Lakers. I have a tremendous amount of respect for their great history and while I guess I'll never "truly" be accepted, I will root for them as if they were my own for as long as I follow basketball. I've checked this site for a long time and figured it was about time I started posting. Go Lakers, Kobe for MVP!

I'm from PA, man. Not sure if Kobe (and LA) gets as much hate in NY as he does around Philly, but I know what it's like to be a fan far from your team. Welcome to the site.
