Finally decided to register. I have been reading threads on lakers ground for a while now, just could never register, i guess b/c of my hotmail e mail. Anyway... im happy i finally found a lakers forum i could activ take part in..
Been a lakers fan since i started watching basketball on the regular.. Loved magic , van excel, eddie jones....
Since i live in Jersey, i heard about Kobe well before he made it to the NBA, and when LA made the trade for him, i was siked.
I watch every game (satelite NBA package).
As for my opinion of this years team: I see much improvment, guys are moving the ball, Kobe has completely changed into a player that can facilitate the offence, and improve the guys around him. I think guys like cook and smush wouldnt have the open opportunities that they have without being set up by Kobe. Guys on the forums are saying how out point guard situation is whats holding us back.. i dissagree, i think its our center position, mainly Kwame.. Bynum is good when he can stay in the game. Dont get me wrong, Brown can play D tho, he just has HORRIBLE mental lapses. Constantly forgets to box out, and CANT CATCH for *hit. The mans hands are like rocks, literally... his lay ups and free throws have no touch. He is like the complete opposit of cook, he can play D, but cant play on the offensive end for crap. And prob has the basket ball IQ of my 9 yo brother. Ok maybe im over exaggerating a little.
Please come back soon LAMAR!! (atleast in time for the game in NY that im goin to) MY FIRST LAKER GAME!!!
Ok enough rambling...

Welcome Wayne and i kinda agree with you, kwame defends very well but his turnovers and his low iq cost us a lot more, with bynum he commits some silly fouls but he at least catches the ball and he can score more than kwame and bynum is also a better ft shooter. |
