Too bad...I was looking forward to that Bynum-Oden matchup, but we'll have plenty of those down the road.

Not terribly impressed with the Summer League roster, but it looked like we went for mostly 2-4 year veterans who will fill in around the youngsters we want to spotlight.

So according to hoopshype's rumors section, Bryson Mckenzie couldn't even start on his high school team (and obviously not college either). What's he doing here? Any of these other names NOT just warm bodies?

^^ The Lakers do not intend to get anymore rookies or garbage players...thats why they probably won´t even care about the SPL roster, just trying to play/evaluate Farmar and Crittenton

I don't get it.

NBA.com was hyping Sun Yue as being ON the summer league roster? Marketing behind him.

Is he actually not going to play?

I guess with Javaris and Jordan on the team already another lead guard would have been superfluous.

And no Bynum either? I was extremely excited for these webcasts, but now .... meh.

^ It certainly doesn't have the same appeal with only 2 Lakers playing this year. Not just that, against the Vegas teams we will get slaughtered.

But I'm still very interested in seeing J-Crit play and seeing what improvements Farmar has made over the summer.

Rodney White isn't a total waste and Jabari Smith and Ebi Ere are worth watching. White is a former first round pick who has been a bust, but wish his light would go off this summer. I covered the Arkansas-OU game a few year's ago when Ere went off so I probably have a little higher opinion of him than I should. The guy looked like Kobe for that one game.

If memory serves, isn't he Kwame's cousin?
