Don't eat bad food, don't eat much food. Eat slower so you can gradually start to feel full. You'd be surprised how much less you eat when you don't hammer down a footlong sub in 5 minutes (like I usually do).
Stay active all day. Worked an 8 hour shift? Go play basketball for two hours afterwards. _________________

SODA SUCKS

Why cant i be like that? |
You can, its like any other addiction. Just gotta be in control. Its not like you can never have one again. Just limit yourself to every once in awhile. Not daily. Think of it this way, you want to put yourself at risk for heart failure and die prematurely? I know I don't. _________________

Also I want you to keep this bumped so we can keep up to date with your progress. I too am feeling slightly heavy and intend to give myself hell for about 3 weeks. I'm shooting for 170 lbs my target weight which means I gotta lose 10 lbs. Were gonna run everyday, drink tons of water and cut the crap. The rewards are worth the sacrifice. _________________

I listened to a book on Atkins, and learned a lot from it.
Now even though I didn't follow it to a T, I became aware of how in the way of carbs I was eating, and with altering some eating habits along with steady aerobic exercise, dropped 30 lbs. in about 4 months.
I have the book on audio, and may have it in mp3 format if interested. Might give you some ideas on how to view what you are eating differently. _________________ 2008-2009 Lakers 69-13

Yup. Extended exercise and eating healthy is the way to go.
I want to add portion control is another aspect you should learn about.
Snack often (with healthy food) instead of eating a huge meal at one time. Also, many people cut their food portion in half. So if they get a chicken breast, they cut it in half. Eat the first half, and save the other half for a few hours later.
And do abs exercise, this will in effect shrink your stomach with the portion control...which is something that is going to be effective for the long term. You don't want to be yo-yo'ing with your weight. You won't be as hungry because you won't have a huge stomach wanting to process food all the time. This is the natural gastric bypass.
Your motiviation is the key, you gotta realize you have to put in the work. It's all up to you. Way too many people fail because they can't stop whining, my advise is to just shut up and do it. |
The ab excersizes will increase muscle. To lose that belly will take cardio excersizes...well atleast that was what i have learned. |
Yes, the abs exercise will tone the muscle at your stomach. It will not do much to lose the belly. The running is what will melt that stomach blubber away to reveal the newly toned muscle. The abs work is for the long term, it is to try to shrink your stomach, so you won't feel as hungry in the future. Keeping your stomach area compacted (by toning muscle and eating smaller portions) will help you achieve that. |

Eat lots of small meals throughout the day, never let yourself get hungry because that spells trouble.
And lots of fiber
Like a s4!7 load (sorry I couldn't resist the pun) |

Anything done excessively is no good. The author covers that honestly and up front. I didn't follow it real close, but definitely shifted toward more protein.
If anyone is interested, PM with a preferred user name and password. I keep the books I have converted to mp3 from cassettes on a password protected area of one of my sites. Lots of other motivational/sales stuff on there too. Looking to pay one of my kids to help me convert some of my other cassette programs from cassette. Got great deals on them on ebay, but cassette is going the way of the 8track and all. _________________ 2008-2009 Lakers 69-13

This suggestion should be analyzed to see if it fits in with the type of work you do. Back a few years I wanted to lose some weight so I started working out after I got home from work. Problem was my job was too physically demanding. After two months I lost over 60 pounds but I got very sick, I don't know how to say it in english in spanish it's called a "desgaste fisico". I ended up having to give up my job cause I was pretty much bed-ridden for about 3 months till I got a little better. Caution don't over do it, it could cost you your life. Before starting any exercise regimen and diet you should see your physician first. _________________

I can't believe you drink 12 cans of coke a day. No wonder you're chubby. Do you realize how bad that is for you? Thats 1680 calories on coke alone a day. You're total daily intake should be around 2000 calories daily. Secondly, you're taking in about 420 grams of sugar.
First of all, there's no quick weight loss method. If you starve yourself, I guarantee you will gain the weight back.
Here's what you do:
- Eating 5 meals a day. 3 normal meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and 2 snacks meals inbetween. When I mean snacks, I mean snacks, like a bowl of fruit. Eating small meals will keep your blood sugar level steady and keep you from feeling hungry. People that eat less meals, tend to over eat.
- No more junk food at all. Seriously cut it out. Good carbs, lean meats, and lots of fruits and vegetables. For salads, try low calorie/fat ones- no ranch!
- Workout 5 days a week. Don't be lazy. Since your main goal is weight loss. You're going to want to focus on cardio. Although, do also weight train if you're not already. The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn is a true saying.
- Really it just comes down to common sense, motivation, and determination. Don't cheat. You're only cheating yourself. Thats all I could think of off the top of my head. Good luck. _________________

Cut down on Soda, continue to drink water. Eat healthy and cut down on junk food. Can eat it occasionally but not often.
drink water straight for 72 days.. you lose a pound of fat.
Used to look like this, I ate junk food every day, drank soda no vegies or anything good.
I may not look fat in this pic, but I was chubby. I have another pic where you can tell. Can't find it at the moment.
Then I started to eat right, drank water and cut down on junk food and soda. Then lost weight.

^shoe brother your not doing it right
and if you can put on weight,
you dont wanna put on 1/4lber wit cheese kinda weight
pickup a bodybuilding magazine or 2,
they usually have a sample day in the diet
of someone trying to add weight.
eat lots, but healthy lots.
good veggies and fruits, quality lean proteins, brown rice and sweet potatoes,
get rest etc...
that kinda stuff (the same is true for trimming weight, just not the "lots" part) _________________ keepin it fresh eight days a week

Damn, I thought I was skinny before I worked out but you take it to another level. Before college (about 6 years ago) I was 6'0'' 140lbs. I've worked out since then and i'm 175lbs now. I use to be on creatine and protein and use to weigh 185 at my biggest. I'm not taking anything right now and I've settled at 175. I think its a good weight for me. _________________
